On the weekend of February 7-9, a new edition of the Llum BCN festival will take place, with an edition focused on The relationship with the environment, environmental concerns and the impact of new technologies.
This 14th edition will be directed by renowned artist Maria Güell and promises to be the most multidisciplinary to date, offering a unique experience that combines light, art and technology in ways not seen before.
The event will feature more than 30 installations, including 15 works by international artists, 17 proposals by students from design, art and architecture schools in Barcelona, and 11 installations by local artists who hope to once again bring together the more than 240,000 visitors who attended in 2024.

When is Llum BCN 2025?
From February 7 to 9 at various points in the Poblenou neighborhood.
The schedule isFriday and Saturday nightfrom 7:00 pm to 1:00 am, and Sunday until 11:00 pm.

What are the novelties of the 14th edition?
- There will befour different itineraries (blue, pink, green and orange, one more than last year) linked to the stops of the T4 Tram line to facilitate the mobility of visitors.
- Extended opening hours: Friday and Saturday from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am, and Sunday until 11:00 pm.
- Greater emphasis on outdoor installations to enhance the interaction of the public with the urban environment.
- The 2025 edition will feature prominent artists such as Laura Clos, Isaki Lacuesta and Joan Focntcuberta.
- More than 30 installations by 15 national and international artists and students from 17 undergraduate schools of design and architecture.
Discover the Llum BCN APP
To enhance the visitor experience, Llum BCN 2025 offers a mobile app with detailed information about all participating lightinstallations1. Main features of the app:
- Categorization of installations by color and shape into four groups: artists, university degree schools, other collaborations and Off Llum.
- Interactive 2D and 3D map to locate the installations.
- Lists sorted by distance or artist name.
- Creation of personalized itineraries.
- Alerts and notifications of updates.
- Tutorial to discover all the functionalities of the app.
The 2025 edition of the application includes improvements in accessibility and visualization of the installations, as well as an improved interface for the audios of theinstallations1.
Map and installations of all the works of LLum BCN 2025
The light installations will be spread over some thirty spaces throughout the Poblenou neighborhood and the area around Glòries. There will be lights in the Can Framis Museum, the TNC, the Mirador Torre Glòries or the Poblenou Park, among others, in addition to the Off Llum installations, which can be seen in galleries and private spaces in the neighborhood.

The four itineraries to not miss anything of Llum BCN
As every year the Llum BCN organizes marked itineraries that serve to follow in order the festival facilities. This year there are 4 itineraries that allow you to see the 45 installations.
The four routes are grouped by areas located near the different stops of the T4 Tram line, in addition to three service areas created specifically as rest areas, restaurants, toilets and information points.
- Blue route: it will have 13 facilities in the area of Avenida Meridiana and the DHub. The closest service area is the one in Antoni Coderch square, next to the DHub.
- Green itinerary: it will have 10 facilities in the area around Ca l’Aranyó and Can Framis. The closest service area is Roc Boronat street, in front of the MediaTIC building.
- Pink itinerary: it will have 11 facilities in the area of the Poblenou Center Park, on both sides of the Diagonal. The closest service area is the Camí Antic de València gardens, on the corner with Lope de Vega street.
- Orange itinerary: will feature 11 installations in local Poblenou within the Off Llum program, organized by the Poblenou Urban District.
The Llum Pro day
The festival reinforces its line aimed at professionals with the organization of the Llum BCNPro3day. This event includes a program especially aimed at curators and international professionals in the sector, as well as conferences open to the general public. On February 8, in the Auditorium of the Disseny Hub, two performative conferences open to the public will be held: “Landscapes of light. Live models” by Antoni Arola at 12:45h, and “ASTRES: mapping the firmament” by the Playmodes collective at 13:30h.
Where to eat at Llum BCN?
As every year, the Llum has several areas of restoration, rest and bathrooms for attendees to have a snack during their visits. This year, there are four catering areas linked to the four itineraries of the festival.
