Being an adult isn’t as cool as you thought it was when you were a kid. Work, tax returns, various commitments, shopping? Among so much responsibility, it is not strange that there are moments when you miss your childhood, that time of peace and fun (in the best of cases) where obligations were conspicuous by their absence. It’s normal, we all have one of those silly days when we wish we could be a kid again.
But who says we can’t go back to the days of Lizzie McQuire, Sesame Street or the Grand Prix? Or even, if we go back a little further, to the days of Pac Man, Beach Watch or Blue Summer? In Barcelona everything is possible! The city of Barcelona offers a huge list of plans for the most nostalgic that will help you awaken your childhood memories and become a child again for a while. Take note!
1. Bubble Planet Bubble Paradise
Who wouldn’t love a little wonderland? Bubble Planet is a pastel universe installed in Espacio Inmersa where spheres, lights and nostalgia are the protagonists. More than 11 spaces where you can interact with balls of all sizes and textures, immerse yourself in a world of Virtual Reality and 360º projections. An innovative design that brings out our playful side regardless of our age.
📍 Espacio Inmersa, Access 1. Calle Llull, 119.
2. The slides for adults at Diagonal Mar Park
The Diagonal Mar park is in our top of Barcelona’s parks. Not only because it favors the mix with the city, nature and the sea, but also because it has facilities designed to be used by adults and children. It is a large and open space where you can practice all kinds of sports (which will always come in handy to rejuvenate) and with an area inside under the trees where you will find the most important attraction of the park: the giant slides .
📍 C/ de Llull, 350 (Sant Martí)
3. Go back to the 2000s in Nevermind
Nostalgia can come to us in many ways and not only takes us back to our childhood, but also to our adolescence. Nevermind is one of the most geeky bars in Barcelona, but not for having arcade games or any niche theme, but because they have put a half skate tube inside a bar. Yes, a small park where you can practice skateboarding, literally. The whole aesthetic reminds us of the Tony Hawk era, even if we were not practitioners of the urban sport of skateboarding, 100% will take us back to the Y2K decade.
📍 C/ dels Tallers, 68.
4. Candlelight musical tributes
