In 2024, regular users of Rodalies and Media Distancia could enjoy free travel and public transport within the city of Barcelona was subsidized by 50%, 30% by the Generalitat and 20% by the Government.
After the Generalitat stated that in 2025 it would maintain its part of the subsidy, we were still waiting for the Government’s decision to freeze, or not, the prices.
Finally, the decision has been positive and until June 2025 the discount on urban, metropolitan and intercity transport tickets will be maintained and Renfe, Rodalies and Media distancia passes will remain free.
Thanks to this, this is how public transport fares in Barcelona will be this 2025:
- The 1-zone T-Usual card will be priced at 21.35 euros (with the 50% discount).
- The T-Jove will be 42.70 euros (with the 50% discount).
- The T-Casual will be 12.15 euros for one zone.
- The single ticket will be 2.55 euros.
