A total of 23 bars and restaurants in the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona participate from this Thursday, November 6, throughout the weekend, and until the next day 15 in the Raval(s) Tapes Route with a special tapas offer accompanied by a drink for a fixed price of 5 euros.
Organized by the Eix Comercial del Raval, the gastronomic route is part of the new edition of the Raval(s) Festival, which takes place from November 6 to 9. This community festival involves more than 140 entities and collectives of the neighborhood, with about 60 free activities to “make visible the strength of a plural, open and supportive Raval”, as detailed in a statement.
Although the cultural festival concludes this Sunday, the tapas route will be extended for another week, until November 15.
The route includes a contest to choose the “Best Tapa del Raval” through a vote in which any diner can participate in exchange for entering the draw for a dinner or lunch for two people (for a maximum amount of 80 euros) in the winning establishment.
To participate, it is necessary to request the “Passaport De Tapes pel Raval” in any of the participating establishments. For each tapa consumed, they will receive a stamp. To enter the draw, they must collect 8 or more stamps and deposit the passport in the ballot boxes provided (in the establishments themselves, in Tot Raval or in the Eix Comercial del Raval) before November 15.
The winners, both of the premises and of the public draw, will be announced from December 15 onwards on the social profiles of Eix Comercial del Raval.
The 23 proposals of tapas of the Raval

The proposals of the route reflect the gastronomic diversity of the neighborhood. Among the most classic options are the “cap-i-pota” from Mendizábal, the “Mandonguilles de la mami Tani” from Bar Atlanta, or the “carn d’olla” croquettes with vermouth from Bar Marsella.
The “bomba” from Barcelona is present in two ways: the traditional recipe at La Morera and a version with black pudding and blue cheese at La Ravala.
The international and modern side is represented in proposals such as the “Bao de galta esmollada” from Fat Cat, the “Mos de drac de Pulled Pork” from Cervesa Sant Jordi – Tabarlot, or the Mexican tacos from Chula Vista and Bar Costa.
The route also includes vegan options, such as the “Tàrtar vegà” from Biocenter or the adapted version of the “Arepa i cachapa” from La Cosecha. Other tapas are the “Polpette d’albergínia” from La Monroe, the “Mini raclette” from Bianco Noir or the “Tostada con mantequilla y anchoa” from Bodega d’en Rubén.
