The holiday season is a magical time, yes, but it’s also the perfect excuse to revisit the past. If you are one of those who still remember the VHS tapes, the heaters and the tactel tracksuit, the proposal that Westfield Glòries has prepared for this year will teleport you straight to the eighties. The mall will become, for a few weeks, a huge Roller Disco where the only requirement is to know how to glide on wheels (or be willing to learn) and be a member of the Westfield Club.
From December 5 to January 5, the roller skating rink will be the epicenter of the festive activity in Glòries, combining the spirit of shopping with the most rogue nostalgia. The music will be non-stop, but Sundays are reserved for the big thematic events: there will be a Tribute to the 80s and 90s, a Back to 2000s session for the youngest, Pop Rock Català and even a special Pre New Year’s Eve party.
In addition, thinking about the little ones of the house, on December 6 and 20, children’s entertainment parties have been scheduled with lots of joy and rhythm. All this fun has a dreamy backdrop, as the Christmas decoration of the center will be responsible for completing the magical atmosphere for young and old to leave their letters in the mailboxes of Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men.
A Christmas of competition and solidarity
But Glòries Christmas is not just about skating and carols. For those who enjoy a good challenge, the center has organized a gymkhana that invites you to find virtual gingerbread cookies hidden around the premises. Those who manage to complete the mission will be entered into a draw to win an Instax camera from Fnac.
In addition, all visitors have the chance to win a gift card valued at 1,000 euros to spend in the center’s stores, perfect for renewing their wardrobe or completing pending gifts. As solidarity is an essential part of these dates, the center reiterates its commitment to the Federació Clot – Camp de l’Arpa, collecting donations of new products to ensure that no neighborhood resident is left without a gift.
And, as a soundtrack to the goodwill, the Gospel4Cors choir will once again offer a live performance, repeating the success of previous editions.
