Having children is beautiful, but not always easy. You have to reconcile, and doing so is not only about work, but also about leisure. Any mother or father knows that sharing the child while working is one thing, but doing it while you want to enjoy your free time is another. That’s why going to the movies could be a forgotten task for some parents, until now, when the “Sessions teta”, the cinema sessions in Barcelona where babies are welcome, were born.
The “Sessions teta” are organized by Cines Verdi and Cines Maldà, and are set up so that adults can see good movies and premieres but, yes, with facilities to bring their children of months, who do not pay admission.
How is a movie session for a baby?
The “Sessions Teta” are morning movie sessions with premiere films (at 11:30 am) at a reduced price of 6.5€, with lower sound and dimmed lighting so that parents can keep an eye on their child at all times. At Maldà cinemas they add a touch of aromatherapy specific to each screening.
Baby strollers can not enter but there is a space at the entrance to do so. In these sessions, obviously, it will not be a problem that babies cry or that there are people coming in and out, so whoever joins these sessions will be on notice.
Where and when are the Teta Sessions?
The Verdi Cinemas will hold its next session on March 30 at 11:30am with Walter Salles’ film Aún estoy aquí, with a Golden Globe, a Goya and three Oscar nominations.
In the case of the Maldà, the sessions are held a couple of times a month. The next one will be on March 9 at 11:30h. with Vivir el momento, a romantic drama and the ticket price is between 6 and 7 € depending on advance purchase or large family.
