The new single ticket for state public transport can be purchased from today in Rodalies Catalunya. This pass will start operating next Monday, January 19, 2026 as a monthly flat rate for frequent users of Rodalies, Cercanías and Media Distancia of Renfe throughout the national territory.
The Council of Ministers approved this measure at the end of 2025 with the aim of establishing a flat rate for the entire national territory in the Renfe network and state buses. In addition, it is planned to progressively incorporate the public transport operators of cities and autonomous communities throughout the country, which will make it possible in the future to use this pass in any transport network in Spain.
To date, no city has been integrated with the season ticket, so it will only be possible to use it on Renfe’s Cercanías and Media Distancia train networks.
In the case of Catalonia, the Generalitat is already working to integrate this pass into the T-Mobilitat during the second half of 2026, according to El Periódico. From then on, each user will be able to choose which travel pass is most convenient for him or her.
How much does the new flat-rate travel pass cost?
The price of the flat-rate travel pass is 60 euros per month and can be used on the entire national network of Cercanías, Media Distancia and state buses. For children under 26 years of age, the monthly cost is 30 euros.
To benefit from the discount it is necessary to register in advance on the website of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, where you can get a discount code before making the first purchase of the pass.
