With the start of the cutting of the Rodalies line R3 on October 7, 2025, several stations and stops will be affected by the track laying works between Parets del Vallès and La Garriga.
Below is a list of the main stops that will be without rail service during this period:
Stations without service
- L’Hospitalet de Llobregat
- Barcelona Sants
- Barcelona Plaça Catalunya
- Barcelona Arc de Triomf
- Barcelona La Sagrera – Meridiana
- Montcada Bifurcació
- Santa Perpètua de Mogoda
- Granollers-Canovelles
- Les Franqueses del Vallès
- La Garriga
From La Garriga onwards, to Puigcerdà and the last stop of the line, the Tor de Querol, the train will continue to operate, and its timetables can be consulted here.
Transportation alternatives
For users of these stations, Renfe has implemented an alternative road service that will connect the affected towns with Barcelona.
Buses will depart from Fabra i Puig station and will have intermediate stops at the stations mentioned above. This service will be operational during the entire period of interruption of the rail service.
Duration of the interruption
The shutdown of line R3 will be carried out in two phases:
- First phase: from October 7, 2025 to May 2026, affecting the section between Montcada Bifurcació and La Garriga.
- Second phase: From May 2026 to January 2027, concentrating on the section between Mollet Santa Rosa and La Garriga.
During this period, users will have to use alternative buses for their journeys.
