The Rodalies de Catalunya network is experiencing another day of complete paralysis this Sunday following the Generalitat’s decision to maintain the total suspension of service. The measure, which affects all regional lines and trains, is in response to the impossibility of guaranteeing safety on the tracks after the serious incidents and landslides that occurred during the week. Adif and Renfe technicians continue to carry out exhaustive inspections at critical points in the infrastructure, with no official forecast yet for the resumption of rail traffic.
In view of the rail blockade, mobility is concentrated on road transport and the FGC and Metro networks, which are operating with additional services in response to high demand. To mitigate the impact, tolls on the C-32 remain free of charge and the restrictions in the Low Emission Zone (ZBE) in Barcelona have been temporarily suspended.
The authorities strongly recommend avoiding unnecessary travel and consulting real-time transport applications, as Rodalies stations will remain closed and inactive throughout the day.
