The ski resort of La Molina, at an altitude of over 2,500 meters, is already operating at full capacity this summer. After starting the season on June 14, the mountain resort has activated this July its full summer offer with the opening of the Metapark, and the area of Llac de la Molina to navigate with kayaks and water scooters.
The Metapark is an innovative immersive hiking experience with augmented reality along the Fauna Route.
This 2-kilometer route, suitable for all audiences, allows visitors to digitally interact with some of the most emblematic species of the Pyrenees, through the use of cell phones or tablets. The route is available all year round.
In addition, the area of the Llac de La Molina, again allows the use of bicycles on water, scooters and kayaks. There are also children’s electric bicycles for children from 3 to 8 years old, a volleyball court, and a sports circuit.
Another attraction already available is the Cap de Comella chairlift, which will operate on weekends in July and, from July 21, will be open daily until August 31.
Between July 18 and August 3, its use will be restricted to hikers and participants in the Spanish and European Downhill (DH) Championships to be held at the resort.
From the start of the season, La Molina also offers access to the Cadí-Moixeró cable car, with spectacular views of the mountain range, and multiple signposted itineraries for hiking, mountain biking and e-bike, as well as nature trails and old mines.
The Bike Park, meanwhile, has been expanded with the new ComellaDH circuit, which will be activated once the official competitions are over.
For families with children, this year the Fauna Interpretation Route has been launched, as well as activities such as tubing, heated pool, trampoline jumping and jumping, and the Parc d’Aventura als Arbres.
