The wait is over. And you may already know this. But the discount fashion giant, TK Maxx, has now opened its first store in Spain at the Diagonal Mar shopping center in Barcelona.
It opened on March 19, marking the first entry of the TJX Companies group’s chain into the Spanish market.
A model of constant stock rotation

The store occupies a space of over 2,100 square meters, showcasing its offerings across categories as diverse as cosmetics, footwear, clothing, handbags, and kitchenware.
According to Modaes.com, what sets TK Maxx’s model apart from other fashion retailers is its logistics operation. The company does not have its own warehouse, which forces it to maintain constant stock turnover and allows it to offer off-season brand-name products at discounts of up to 60% off the recommended retail price.
The result is a constantly changing selection, featuring brands such as Gucci, Fendi, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Hunter, Veja, and Kenzo among those available.
The Barcelona opening is, as the group’s marketing director, Deborah Dolce, confirmed at the time, the starting point for a broader expansion plan in the Spanish market.
TK Maxx, founded in the United Kingdom in 1994 though owned by U.S. capital, currently has 740 stores in countries such as Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Poland, and Australia.
