Barcelona will celebrate this weekend the Trambesòs party in Diagonal Avenue, between Girona and Bruc streets, with free chocolate and ‘coca’ for everyone.
The extension of the tramway this stretch of Barcelona from Glòries to Verdaguer was inaugurated last November, but the party had been relegated to another time of the year to coincide with the severe floods suffered in Valencia in late October.
Now, next Saturday, February 22, the Tram will celebrate its arrival in this area of Barcelona with a parade of small giants, children’s games, a digital gymkhana, activities of the Kiddy Musics school and hot chocolate with coke for everyone.
The Tram Festival will run between 10:30 and 14 hours on Saturday and will involve the participation of organizations and businesses in the district. There will be information tents.
Work on the new 1.8-kilometer section of the T4 began in March 2022 and was completed two and a half years later to connect Sant Adrià station with Verdaguer without changing lines.
