When the state does not respond, the people take the reins of their destiny. With this epic could explain the initiative of a group of users who, tired of the continuous delays of Rodalies and the ineffectiveness of their applications, have decided to take action and create Transporta’m, the free app that tells you where the trains are in real time.
The app was born thanks to the fact that the platform already had the website El tren va tard, where statistics are made. With this information David, a computer scientist member of the platform who had been dreaming of this tool for years, created Transporta’m, which uses public data from Renfe and Adif, but treats them better.
What does Transporta’m offer?
Transporta’m not only informs about delays but, unlike Renfe’s app, it works in real time.
Thus, the app locates trains in real time, indicates current incidents and lets users know whether it is worth waiting or looking for alternatives. All with a much clearer interface than the official websites.
Currently, it covers the services of Rodalies trains, the regional service, the TRAM and the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), but from May, it will also include urban and intercity buses, starting with Tarragona.
Apparently, the Government is currently working on its own application to offer the same information.
While you find out, we leave you the ticket prices for this year, which until June can be purchased at the discounted price.
