The America’s Sailing Cup (or America’s Cup), is one of the most important (and controversial) sporting events of this year in the city. Also one of the most exclusive: a day ticket, the simplest, costs 500 euros per person..
But, fortunately, the competition is at sea and the coastline cannot be completely closed, so there are spaces in the city where it is not necessary to buy tickets to be able to follow live the different races.
That’s why we tell you all the spots where you can watch the America’s Cup Sailing 2024 for free or “attend” the event without having to leave half a paycheck on a ticket.

Fan zones and viewpoints
.
In Plaça del Mar (at the end of Pg. de Borbó) and in the surroundings of Bogatell (area marked in yellow on the map) there will be two areas with giant screens and catering. Both are free of charge and will open from 12:00 noon on regatta days.
And there are two viewpoints that allow you to experience the competition up close:the Rosa dels Vents square, below the W Hotel, is ideal for watching the starts and finishes of the races, and the Port Olímpic, with the new shelter dyke, is another of the spaces set up for watching the America’s Cup.
Beach

The “circui
to” of races, the area where the boats will race, covers the stretch from the Bogatell beach, approximately, to the Wela hotel, so any point of the beach in this stretch is suitable to watch the races for free.
Race Village
.
Located in Moll de la Fusta, it is a large meeting space with an area of 25,000 square meters that offers leisure, culture and gastronomy and simulates a fishing neighborhood (right next to the Barceloneta). On the days of competition, the regattas will be broadcast live on stage with shows with the sailors and, from August 30, shows as part of the Cultural Regatta.
In the restaurant area there will be a gastronomic offer with a focus on Catalan cuisine. Admission is free, although there will be capacity control.
Online
You can follow the races live for free via YouTube, Facebook and the official America’s Cup website, where live broadcasts will be available.
