The scene, the full report was collected by the British BBC in a video the clash between demonstrators and tourists who were eating in some of the central terraces of the Catalan capital. They were surprised by the shooting of water with toy guns by a group of demonstrators.
Under the slogan ‘Prou! Posem límits al turisme’, the demonstration took place this Saturday, July 6 with the aim of denouncing the situation the city is going through, with vacation and long-term rental prices at all-time highs. Also, this was the first mass march following the Barcelona City Council’s approval of elimination of all tourist rental licenses by 2028 in the city.
