The Barcelona City Council will install a giant screen in Glòries Park so that fans can watch the UEFA Women’s Champions League final between FC Barcelona and OL Lyonnais live on Saturday, May 23, at 6 p.m.
The match will be played at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo, marking the first time the final of this tournament will be held on Norwegian soil.
Just as it did last year for the final between Barça and Arsenal, Barcelona, through the Institut Barcelona Esports, will once again open the Glòries Park as a meeting point for women’s soccer fans.
The Blaugrana will face a formidable opponent: the French team has won the Women’s Champions League trophy eight times.
The initiative is part of the city council’s commitment to making Barcelona a global leader in women’s sports and to raising the profile of women’s competitions.
