Make a note of this date: the early morning of November 4-5, 2025. That night, 275 people will be able to run through the tunnels of the Barcelona subway in what will be the race that will celebrate the centenary of the Barcelona subway.
With a 5-kilometer route, starting and finishing at Universitat, this event will raise funds for the fight against ALS, which currently affects 500 people in Catalonia and a total of 350,000 worldwide.
How to register for the subway race

The registration fee of 30 euros will go to the research unit of l’Hospital del Mar in Barcelona.
In addition to a solidarity purpose, the race will also have an exclusive component: only 275 people will be able to participate, who will be chosen by lottery. Anyone interested can register from October 6 to 8 on the race platform. In addition, TMB employees will have a registration quota.
The time of the race will be at 1 a.m., just when the metro service will be closed and there will be no tension on the track.
Those who do not get a place in the physical race, can participate in solidarity through the “dorsal zero” through a solidarity contribution on the migranodearena platform.
Subway race route
The route of the race will start at Universitat, line 2, direction Monumental, where it will turn around to return to the finish line located in Universitat.
Participants will start in 20-second sections in order to avoid overtaking in tunnels and blockages, as some sections of the network do not allow the passage of more than one person.
TMB reminds that this is a solidarity race, not a competition, and therefore no prizes will be awarded at the end.
This race joins other initiatives launched by TMB on the occasion of the centenary of the metro, such as the opening of the Gaudí and Correus ghost stations, the ZAP and Santa Eulàlia workshops or the metro control center.
