Rooftops are one of those fetishes of some people: you’d be surprised how many people collect visits to the most impressive terraces in Barcelona, which are usually hidden in the big hotels of the city. Now, these seekers of views and photogenic cocktails have a new mecca, Bonavista, the city’s first cocktail bar with views and mini-golf.
The idea is the work, once again, of Grup Confiteria (Paradiso, Monk, Muy Buenas…). A terrace of more than 500 m² located on the rooftop of the Hotel Moxy Barcelona, next to Sants station. The space, with capacity for more than 200 people, combines restaurant, cocktail bar and, later, attention, mini-golf and curling, all wrapped in a pop aesthetic inspired by the Miami buildings of the 70s.
The design is the work of the Pichiglas studio, also responsible for venues such as Paradiso and Focacha, and features vibrant colors and retro shapes that make it an ideal urban oasis for summer nights.
1,500 free cocktails for a week
The menu includes fresh Mediterranean-inspired dishes -such as ensaladilla escabechada, summer roast beef or special truita- and a selection of cocktails designed exclusively for this space. In addition, the mini-golf course features obstacles inspired by local icons such as the Olympic Cobi or Calatrava’s antenna.
To celebrate its opening, Bonavista will give away 1,500 cocktails from July 2 to 8 (250 per day, one per person) and will raffle 25 double dinners among those who follow its social networks.
