Whether you call them terraces, rooftops or rooftop bars, surely you have pronounced some of these words lately because going up for a drink at the heights of Barcelona is definitely fashionable.
Snacking on tapas, treating yourself to a tasting menu or having a nice cocktail is all well and good, but doing it with some of the best views in the city is literally another level. And for that reason, there is nothing like taking advantage of the fact that hotels have become accustomed to turning their terraces into luxury rooftop bars to enjoy the perfect combination of heights. If you add a pool or a DJ to the equation, the plan is infallible.
And you have to lose your fear. The hotels, that space for tourists, open a small extension for locals that goes from the street to the elevator, and from there to the clouds, where the bars of the hotel terraces seek to attract more and more local customers. We know that the ideal is to have your own rooftop where you can have your own barbecue with colleagues, but until then, nothing like a rooftop bar in the heart of Barcelona to feel that you have the city at your feet.
Jardinet del Born

In the heart of Barcelona hides this rooftop where the views are enjoyed with an XXL mojito every Friday of the year. If you are in El Born, every Friday from 4 p.m. you have an appointment with this secret terrace of the Catalan capital.
🎟️ Book your XXL mojito at the Jardinet del Born.
📍Carrer de la Princesa, 33.
Skyfall Cocktail Club
Although it is not outdoors, it is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular rooftops in the city. Its circular shape with 360º views and its design make this space a place for lovers of good design, but also for anyone who appreciates the slightest beauty. Every Friday and Saturday, it offers a show while we can taste dishes such as tomato tartar with truffled burrata or coca de recapte with prawns and roasted eggplant.

Hotel Barcelona Center
In addition to the views -well, that question influences all of them, really- that can be enjoyed from its rooftop and its location, the roof top bar of Barcelona Center is worth mentioning for the organization of some electronic music parties that are held here. Seeing Balmes street, which crosses the city from top to bottom, from the heights, is priceless.

The One Barcelona
The One Barcelona is, to put it mildly, the most luxurious thing you can throw in your face. Located on the corner of Pau Claris and Provença, relatively recently it opened its Mood terrace. We are talking about a hotel terrace that has a menu with D.O. Delta del Ebro Oysters or shiny red prawns carabinera XXL, products of such high standing that they should be written in capital letters.

Hotel 1898
In this mini review is included a history lesson-reminder. 1898. Last year in which the sun did not set in the Spanish Empire. Hence the name of the hotel and hence -more or less- the name of the terrace. La Isabela, as this rooftop is called, takes its name from an island in the Philippines. A menu to consider that is not particularly expensive and a pool that is blessed glory make this hotel on La Rambla a perfect choice.

Grand Hotel Barcelona
In two words: infinity pool. Yes, like that pool you see on Instagram in the typical “Mention the person you’d like to be there with right now” posts. Well, that kind of pool is closer than you think -depending, of course, from where you’re reading this-. Panoramic rooftop, relaxation area, bar with cocktails and snacks, views of the Born. The price, of course, must also be taken into account: twenty euros in exchange for the entrance and a cocktail or combo.

Sky Bar
The SkyBar terrace has been for some years now one of the trendiest places to enjoy the summer evenings and nights outdoors in the city. It is located on the rooftop of the Hotel Iberostar in Plaza Cataluña, in the heart of Barcelona. It is a historic building of monumental and classicist style that houses in its heights a unique place to get lost and enjoy the best urban landscapes: from the Sagrada Familia to the beach area and the port.
This terrace is managed by Costa Este, one of the most important companies in the nightlife and nightclubs of Barcelona, and this is evident in the fact that this exclusive urban rooftop combines its infinity pool with a party proposal with lounge bar, varied and current music (house, deep house, commercial, 80’s, or reggaeton).
📍Pl. de Catalunya, 10
Nobu
25 floors for a record: to be the highest rooftop bar in Barcelona. The rooftop of the Nobu Barcelona hotel has just opened The Rooftop, a bar from which you can say that you can see any point of the city. The bar is new but the rooftop is not. It is on the rooftop of the Torre Catalunya, where until now there was a huge communications antenna.
The bar , located 80 meters high, offers a menu of signature and classic cocktails, craft beer, Catalan and biodynamic wines, as well as tapas that fuse the Asian and the Mediterranean, but move away from the proposal of the Nobu restaurant.

Sercotel Rosellón
There is the expression “beachfront” and, when you go up to this terrace, the expression “Sagrada Familia front line “ should be coined. The Sercotel’s rooftop, which has a chill out area, beyond the postcard image of the basilica, offers spectacular 360º views of Barcelona. In addition, the terrace has a bar-restaurant service for snacks or refreshments while contemplating the breathtaking panoramic views.

Intercontinental
InterContinental Barcelona is a luxurious five-star hotel located in a privileged setting on Montjuïc and overlooking some of the most emblematic monuments of the city, f. In summer they open the Montjuïc Pop Up Summer Restaurant and the 173 Rooftop Terrace, two new spaces to enjoy the best cuisine, while you are seduced by its privileged view of the National Art Museum of Catalonia.
On the one hand, the Montjuïc Terrace and its Pop Up Restaurant open their doors for the season with a menu of Mediterranean and local food to suit all tastes. On the other hand, the 173 Rooftop Terrace is another unique space to enjoy one of the best views of Barcelona, thanks to its 360º panoramic view that allows you to contemplate the beauty of the city through a luxury skyline.
Grand Hotel Central
It’s not every day that you can say you’re having a drink or a bite to eat in the garden of a former mayor of Barcelona. That’s what you’ll find at the Grand Hotel Central, which occupies the Via Laietana building that Fracesc Cambó (the mayor who did the work to open Via Laietana) reserved in his magnum opus for himself to live in (and where his descendants have lived until very recently).
There , a terrace with wonderful views of the Roman wall and the Borne district to enjoy by the pool or on a sun lounger while sipping a cocktail or snacking on one of the dishes from the classic hotel menu. If you want, you can save your appetite to go down to Can Bo, the restaurant at the foot of the hotel, which is a real treat.
