La Castañada is already here. The most autumnal expression of Barcelona has arrived, and the streets already smell of chestnuts and roasted sweet potatoes. And although some will say that the tradition is lost, Barcelona hosts fifty stalls authorized by the City Council that fill the streets with the aroma of autumn.
There are some less than last year, but in general the tradition continues to grow, and this 2024 there are chestnut stands in all districts of Barcelona.
