The Cicle Dijous Concert is one of the most consolidated cultural proposals of the Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona (CMMB). Every Thursday, the Auditori Eduard Toldrà hosts free classical music concerts featuring faculty and guest artists.
The autumn season faces its last weeks with three concerts still to come between November and December: performances open to the public that keep alive a musical tradition that combines training, excellence and free access to culture in the heart of the Eixample.
Cicle Dijous Concert: free chamber music at the Conservatori.

With more than 20 years of history, the Cicle Dijous Concert has established itself as a benchmark for classical music in Barcelona and as an essential part of the Conservatori’s training project. Throughout the course, some thirty recitals are presented —from Mozart or Schubert to contemporary Catalan composers such as Guinovart or Codina—, with formations ranging from instrumental duos to symphony orchestras.
Autumn season program:
- November 20: Un món de somnis i música de contes… (soprano and piano).
- November 27: L’Art de Préluder (recorders and harpsichord)
- December 4: Escenes imaginades: contes i danses per a dos pianistes (piano)
What is the schedule of the concerts and how can you attend?
All performances begin at 8:00 pm at the Auditori Eduard Toldrà(carrer Bruc, 110-112), with free admission until full capacity is reached. They can also be followed live on CMMB’s YouTube channel.
And if after these three free concerts you still want more classical music, in Barcelona you can also enjoy Candlelight, the cycle of concerts by candlelight that programs from Vivaldi’sFour Seasons and Mozart’ s Requiem to film soundtracks and tributes to artists of today.
