Between the boom of instrumental playlists to concentrate, the soundtracks of movies and video games, and the experimentation of artists like Rosalía in LUX, it is logical that more than one is curious about classical music. And if that curiosity is in Barcelona, even better: the city is full of classical music, and what many do not imagine is that much of its programming has free or very affordable concerts, perfect for taking the first steps.
That’s why we have prepared a guide with perfect cycles for beginners in classical music: free or with tickets for less than 20 euros, and programmed in emblematic spaces such as the Cathedral of Barcelona or L’Auditori. So, if the goal is to find classical music concerts in Barcelona that are accessible, interesting and of quality, here are the ones that are really worth it.
Organ Cycle at the Barcelona Cathedral

Sitting in the Gothic nave of Barcelona Cathedral and listening to one of the most important organs in Catalonia is an experience that is hard to imagine until you live it: the sound comes to you, envelops you and vibrates in the air as if coming from everywhere at once. Programs may include music by Bach, Mozart or Mendelssohn, always in the hands of renowned organists such as Olivier Houette or Monica Melcova. And free of charge.

It is a relaxed atmosphere, comfortable for those who are just starting out in this world, and the ticket also includes access to the exhibitions. A 2 for 1.
