FC Barcelona has taken a break this week to celebrate the recent league title. It has done so in an exclusive restaurant 20 minutes from Barcelona, specifically in Gavà.
It is La Catalina Gavà Mar, a restaurant specialized in Mediterranean cuisine and grilled meats in a 24,000m2 estate surrounded by a large pine forest.
A few meters from the beach of Gavà is this space, a project led by chef Óscar Manresa, who is committed to the cuisine of product and Mediterranean tradition.
With an interior room and a large terrace dedicated especially to multitudinous events, such as the celebration of the end of the season for the men’s Barça, this space is considered one of the most exclusive in the area.
Grilled meats and fish, as well as rice dishes, are the stars of the menu. Eating here is around 65 € per person without skimping on what you order .“Our cuisine is designed for sharing”, they admit.
In exchange, you can enjoy grilled turbot, assorted rice dishes (such as cuttlefish and lemon or red shrimp from the coast), matured Friesian steak, macaroni stuffed with pig’s feet, trumpets of death, Idiazábal cheese sauce and Melanosporum truffle. The wine list has more than 200 references.
La Catalina restaurant is recommended in gastronomic guides such as the Repsol Guide and the Macarfi Guide.
La Catalina is open every day of the week: Monday to Friday from 1pm to 10pm; Saturdays from 1pm to 3:30pm and from 8pm to 10pm; Sundays, only midday shift from 1pm to 3:30pm.
