Historic day in Barcelona’s transport with the sudden stoppage of virtually the entire network of metro and TRAM by the blackout suffered by the power grid of much of southern Europe.
This Tuesday has confirmed the chaos in Barcelona’s mobility: the entire Rodalies service has been suspended on all lines since 6:30 a.m. The reason? An “instability of the voltage in the electrical network” that prevents to guarantee the circulation of trains safely.
While Rodalies is still not expected to be restored, these are the public transports that are operational:
Barcelona Metro (TMB).
All lines are operating normally.
Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC)
Normal service on all lines.
Urban and interurban buses (Generalitat)
They operate normally and the service has been reinforced due to the collapse of Rodalies.
Tramway (TRAM)
- T1, T2 and T3: normal circulation.
- T4, T5 and T6: service restored but with altered frequencies.
