The Generalitat de Catalunya has announced that Protecció Civil de la Generalitat has activated this afternoon the alert of the Special Emergency Plan for Floods in Catalonia (INUNCAT) due to the forecast of heavy rains that will begin the night of Tuesday, September 3 and will last until Wednesday.
The alert is activated because,according to the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (SMC), the intensity threshold of 20 l/m² is expected to be exceeded tomorrow in 30 minutes in much of Catalonia, confirming the weather change in Catalonia for Sept re.

The showers will begin today in the Ponent area and will extend during the early morning until the Terres de l’Ebre.
