It’s already here. The first rays of spring sunshine are, for many, the announcement that Sonar, the world’s most innovative electronic music festival, is approaching. Now, the festival has presented the lineup for its 32nd edition, which will bring together in Barcelona pioneering figures of dance music, who coexist with heroes and heroines of hyperlocal micro-scenes with radical aesthetics and groundbreaking formats.
There will be 150 premieres and a total of more than 200 activities for one of the most important electronic music and digital arts festivals in the world. With more than a hundred confirmed performances, the festival will bring together pioneering figures of electronic music, emerging artists and interdisciplinary proposals that explore the limits of digital creativity.
This year will also be special, as it will be the last edition in which Sónar by Day will be held at Fira Montjuïc, since, starting next year, the festival will move its daytime version to Fira Gran Via, the same location as Sónar by Night.
The festival is undoubtedly one of the most important dates of the music and festival scene in the city, and that’s why we leave you a complete guide so you don’t miss anything of the best electronic festival in the world.
When is Sonar 2025?
The 32nd edition of Sónar will be on June 12, 13 and 14, 2024 at the Fira de Montjuïc (Sónar de Dia) and the nights of 13 and 14 at the Fira Gran Via (Sónar de Nit).
As we said, this is the last year that Sónar by Day will be held at the Fira Motjuïc, as from next year the festival will move to the Fira Gran Via venue.

Audiovisual performances and exceptional collaborations.
The visual dimension of the festival will take center stage with innovative shows by artists such as Eric Prydz, BICEP, Max Cooper, Daito Manabe and Cora Novoa, while four-handed DJ sets by Skrillex b2b Blawan and Armin van Buuren b2b Indira Paganotto will raise the bar for creative collaborations.
As for new shows, there will be unique proposals such as Rone with the (LA)HORDE collective and the Ballet National de Marseille, the tandem Raül Refree + Niño de Elche, or the innovative work of Dania & Mau Morgó.
Stars of Sónar Day
The big stars of this year’s three epic sunsets at Sónar by Day will be the young Brazilian star Mochakk (Thursday 12), the great American house DJ and producer Honey Dijon (Friday 13) and the British rave revivalist phenomenon Overmono (Saturday 14). In addition, Sónar by Day will also present a series of specially designed co-productions with other European festivals, as well as other renowned cultural entities, such as The Barbican London.
New at Sónar by Night
Sónar by Night will feature two newly configured and designed stages, specially curated by Sónar together with Boiler Room and Printworks London, the most iconic club proposals of recent years. Sónar’s Boiler Room will place the artists in the center of the dance floor, allowing the audience to move freely around them. This novelty, together with Printworks’ huge translucent vertical screen on the SonarLab stage, will elevate the Sónar by Night experience to an even more spectacular level.
