Just 18 kilometers from Barcelona, the municipality of Alella prepares for its most important event of the year: the Festa de la Verema, which this 2025 celebrates its 51st edition.
From Thursday 4 to Sunday 14 September, this town in the Maresme region, known for its vineyards overlooking the sea and for having one of the highest average incomes in the country, will offer an extensive program to immerse yourself in wine culture.
The festival is the perfect excuse to discover Alella’s treasure: its own Denomination of Origin. Wineries such as Alta Alella, Celler Can Roda or Alella Vinícola open their doors to show the origin of their wines made with varieties such as Pansa Blanca, Garnacha Blanca or Tempranillo.
Festa de la Verema Alella 2025 Program

Although the program is spread over ten days, the main events will be concentrated on the first weekend. The official opening will take place on Friday, September 5 at 7:00 pm in the Plaça d’Antoni Pujadas, with the traditional treading of the grapes and a show.
From that moment, the Mostra del Vi DO Alella i Gastronomia will be inaugurated, the epicenter of the celebration, where local wineries and restaurants will sell their products.
This space will be complemented by the Fira-Mercat and the “Tapes + Vi” proposal, which pairs local cuisine with DO wines.
The weekend will be full of activities that combine wine tradition with popular culture, such as the Correfoc with the Diables del Vi d’Alella, sardana dances, evening concerts and guided tours not only to the wineries, but also to the historic farmhouses in the area.
The festival will continue the following week with specialized tastings, the Wine Tasting Contest for Couples (Wednesday 10) and will culminate on Sunday September 14 with the traditional Cercavila de gegants, capgrossos, grallers i timbalers.
