For some time now, Los Roca have been much more than the best chefs in the world. The trio of chef-brothers is a business machine that combines talent, nostalgia and success, hence proposals such as Rocambolesc Vi o the Bikineria the company’s new restaurant, which connects haute cuisine and its playful vision of the world with businesses that successfully appeal to nostalgia.
Now, with the trends in the corner of their eyes, Los Roca is also joining the natural wine trends by opening Vii, its bar a vins with which they intend to break the trend, also in the world of fermented grapes.
Magically located at Plaza del Vi, 7, the new bar will count on the experience and talent of Audrey Doré, head sommelier at El Celler de Can Roca, who will be in charge of the establishment. In addition, David Freijomil, former head chef of the Plaça del Vi 7m restaurant that occupied the premises until now, will continue to lead the kitchen at Vii, ensuring the quality and flavor that characterize the Roca brothers.
Apart from the offer of natural wines, the food menu, inspired by the Can Roca of the 70’s, will have simple dishes and Catalan cuisine, with recipes ranging from calamari a la romana to cannelloni, shrimp omelettes, kidneys in sherry, cap i pota or Russian salad.
The bar will be open daily from 1pm to 11pm, with a selection of simple tapas available from 4pm to 7pm, for snacks between meals.
