If you were thinking of making a getaway this fall, we have bad news: the 2025 work calendar does not play in favor of bridges. Most holidays fall on weekends and there will hardly be opportunities to enjoy a few extra days of rest.
Still, there are a few dates worth keeping on your radar.
Holidays left in 2025 in Barcelona
We leave you with the full list of holidays left in 2025 and the bridges you can put together with them.
September 11 (Thursday): National Day of Catalonia. Option of long weekend if you take Friday 12th.
September 24 (Wednesday): La Mercè. With Thursday and Friday off, you can set up a five-day “aqueduct”.
October 12 (Sunday): Columbus Day. Bad luck, it falls on a Sunday and is not moved in Catalonia.
November 1 (Saturday): Tots Sants. It does not add rest days either.
December 6 (Saturday): Constitution Day. Another holiday that is lost.
December 8 (Monday): Immaculate Conception. Here there will be a small respite with a three-day long weekend.
December 25 (Thursday): Christmas. Perfect to link with the following day.
December 26 (Friday): Sant Esteve. The grand prize of the year: a four-day long weekend with four consecutive days of festivities.
With this panorama, the only guaranteed long getaway will be Christmas and Sant Esteve, which this year fall on Thursday and Friday and will offer a four-day long weekend. The rest of the holidays can only be taken advantage of if you combine them with vacation days.
