If there is one thing that is clear about Barcelona is that it arouses an interest that crosses all imaginable frontiers. People from all over the world come to the city every day to spend a vacation and get to know it, something that generates a tourist overcrowding large dimensions and that even reaches tension different points of interest.
It is such a level of tourism the capital is among the 10 most visited cities in the world, besides being one of the most expensive. This was determined by the travel company Rustic Pathways, which has prepared a study to analyze the cost of an overnight stay in the 10 most visited cities in the world and has included Barcelona in its ranking.
This calculation has been prepared taking into account the average cost of accommodation, transportation, food and beverages from travel providers such as Kayak, Viator and TourRadar, as reported by MoneyWeek magazine.
New York, first in the ranking, Barcelona, seventh
Based on this study, the company has created a ranking in which it presents these cities in order, from most expensive to cheapest, and also reflects the average price calculation for a one-night stay. Thus, the city that tops the ranking is New York, with an average cost per day of £549.60, which, translated into euros, would be approximately €637.54.
Following New York and before arriving in Barcelona, we find Paris, Dubai, London, Rome and Amsterdam, all of them in a range of between 516.90 € and 347.07 € for a one-night stay.
Behind these six cities we find Barcelona, the seventh most expensive destination ranking. Barcelona has an estimated expenditure of 315.52 €. In addition to a total estimate of spending, the study also reflects a breakdown of spending, which in the case of Barcelona is as follows:
