That in Barcelona you can travel the world through food is no secret. Italian, Mexican, Chinese restaurants … But although it has been fashionable for some time now, Korean gastronomy has not penetrated our imagination (yet) much beyond kimchi, that ferment that is like that love that you either adore or hate.
But little by little this is changing, and the city welcomes every day better Korean restaurants where the most astute foodies can find, beyond kimchi, dishes like bimbap or bulgogi to feel in their palates the authentic Korean cuisine.
That’s why we bring answer to the question “where to eat Korean in Barcelona” with this list where you will find the best Korean restaurants in the city.
Kimchi Mama
Define homey restaurant, then define Korean restaurant, mix the two definitions, and you’ll get this restaurant. Kimchi Mama is a cozy restaurant that offers an authentic Korean experience but with a homemade touch. It is known for its warm atmosphere and homemade food.
Highlights include kimchi, bibimbap and other vegetable side dishes (such as kimchi) that often accompany Korean main courses. Generous portions, friendly service and an authentic immersion in Korean cuisine.

Everything is prepared from scratch, ensuring an authentic culinary experience.

Obba
If we talk about Koreans we cannot ignore Korean barbecue, one of the great culinary legacies of this culture. If you already know it, you know that tradition dictates placing a fire (or induction, which sanity commands) in the middle of the table, to which meat and vegetable cuts arrive already prepared to grill briefly on the central grill and gobble dipped in one of the traditional sauces. This is the specialty here, so you know what to come for.

POCHA Barcelona
POCHA is a casual restaurant somewhat different from the usual ones because it offers Korean party dishes, something like tavern dishes to have between drinks. They serve sundubu juggae, which is like a seafood, meat and tofu soup and also their famous yangnyeom chicken, the Korean fried chicken that many say is the best in the world, or kimchieon, a kimchi-based pancake.

Restaurant Corea Dolsotbap
This restaurant is famous for its authentic bibimbap, a traditional Korean dish of rice with vegetables. The family that runs it is Chinese but thanks to the daughter, a fan of Korean culture (like many young people in Asia), this restaurant has specialized in homemade Korean food to the point of doing just that, a homemade neighborhood restaurant where you can find Korean cuisine at a good price. A delightful place.
📍Carrer del Clot, 85, 08018 Barcelona
💸20-30€
Os Familia
Speaking of fried chicken, in Barcelona we are lucky that Korea is so well represented that there is even a store specializing only in Korean fried chicken (or yangnyeom chicken, if you’re a purist). That serves Os Familia, which also sells other Korean street specialties, such as the famous tempura frankfurts. All with rather addictive homemade sauces.
📍Carrer Ali Bei, 69, 08013 Barcelona
💸5-15€
Soban by Jo Lee
Near the Entença metro, somewhat unknown, Soban de Jo Lee has earned a reputation as one of the most authentic Korean restaurants in Barcelona. As soon as you sit down, you are greeted with a display of banchan, the small dishes that serve as side dishes in Korean cuisine for the main courses and fill the tables with color.
From here, order their dosirak, a box with various dishes including rice and marinated meat, their vegetable omelet with squid, japchae, sweet potato noodles, orteokbokki with sweet soy sauce and garlic. All delicious and without spending more than 20 euros per person.
