It’s not the Horta maze—it’s much better. Nestled amid the fields of the Pujol family—a third-generation farming and ranching family—lies an experience that attracts families and groups of friends seeking adventure every summer:the Laberint Can Pujol, a gigantic corn mazein the heart ofthe Empordà region.
The concept is simple but addictive:a three-and-a-half-hectare corn maze where you can get lost among passageways, dead ends, and clues that will force you to think, solve puzzles, and connect images to find your way out. Each year features a new design, so repeat visitors never face the same challenge.
The activitylasts about an hour and can be enjoyed in the afternoon, from 5:00 to 9:00. The price is 10 euros for those ages 10 and up, 8 euros for children ages 4 to 10, and free for children under 4. The venue offers free parking, and the organizers recommend wearing athletic shoes, comfortable clothing, and mosquito repellent.
The experience is rounded out with a perfect ending: an outdoor area to relax, chat, and enjoy a cold drink after successfully making your way out of the maze. A unique way to enjoy the summer, surrounded by nature, puzzles, and shared fun.
Night in the Maze
And if thrills are your thing, this summer brings the most extreme version: the Nit de por al laberint, a nighttime experience that transforms the corn paths into a horror-movie setting. Amid scares, darkness, and an eerie atmosphere, you’ll have to find your way with a flashlight or headlamp until you reach the exit.
The event will take place on August 2 and 30, from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. The price is eighteen euros, and the activity is not permitted for children under fourteen. Just don’t forget comfortable shoes, a flashlight, and—above all—plenty of guts, because spots are limited.
How to get there
The maze is located in the town of Serra de Daró, right in the heart of the Empordanet region, between the towns of Parlavà, Torroella de Montgrí, and Ullastret, and offers spectacular views of the Montgrí mountain range.
