Barcelona is a paradise for themed film festivals, and sports, which are so important in our city, couldn’t fail to have their own event. Disciplines such as swimming, cycling, skiing, and skateboarding will be represented this year, combining documentaries with fiction and short films, medium-length films, and feature films. The best part? All sessions are free, although you have to purchase an invitation on the website.

The Chinese community in Barcelona invites us once again to its big celebration. For two days, we can take part in this colorful tradition, which includes parades, a food fair, and shows, all to welcome in the Year of the Horse.

El Llum is now a classic of the Barcelona winter season: the city’s large buildings are illuminated with spectacular light shows by local and international artists. A leading European festival in the field of light arts that takes place every year in the Poblenou neighborhood. An amalgam of contemporary art, design, architecture, technology, and lighting that results in interesting and worthwhile proposals.
This year’s theme is Nightscapes, and you can see the artistic proposals of filmmaker Albert Serra, artist Laia Estruch (in collaboration with Beniro), and creative studio Studio MO:YA, among others.

This event is the most important in the wine sector in Spain, an opportunity to discover all the latest developments in wine and get to know the best wineries. Obviously, good wine goes hand in hand with good food, thanks to the different tastings that will be available at the event. Festes de Santa Eulàlia

The city’s winter festivities return this February to help us forget the cold and the lack of long weekends. Barcelona surrenders to the crime novel genre with this festival, a week in which you can enjoy round tables with key authors, book presentations, talks, exhibitions, and much more. This year’s curator is Carlos Zanón, an author well known to fans of the genre thanks to works such as Tarde, mal y nunca (2009), Yo fui Johnny Thunders (2014), Taxi (2017) and Problemas de identidad (2019), in which he revives the detective Pepe Carvalho, a character created by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán.
