If you have ever dreamed of going through the bowels of the Barcelona subway, this is your chance. On the occasion of the centenary of the subway, a unique night race through its tunnels will be held in the early hours of November 4 to 5, 2025. The event, in addition to being exclusive, has a charitable purpose: to raise funds for ALS research.
Since it will be a unique experience, access will be very limited. Only 275 people will be able to participate and they will be chosen through a raffle. If you want to be one of them, here is the most important information you should know.
How to register for the race draw

In order to be eligible for one of the places, anyone interested must register in a previous draw. Make a note of the dates and the procedure:
The deadline to register for the draw will open on October 6 and end on October 8. Registrations will be made exclusively through the race’s official platform.
Who can participate? Anyone interested can sign up. In addition, a quota of registrations will be reserved for workers of Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB).
The registration fee for those lucky enough to get a place will be 30 euros, which will go entirely to the research unit of the Hospital del Mar in Barcelona in its fight against ALS, a disease that affects 500 people in Catalonia and 350,000 worldwide.
What if I don’t win a place?
Those who are not winners in the draw will have an alternative to contribute to the cause. A “dorsal zero” will be set up on the migranodearena platform so that anyone can make a solidarity contribution.
Details of the race
The event will start at 1 am, once the metro service has closed and there is no tension on the tracks. The route will be 5 kilometers, starting and finishing at Universitat station. From there, runners will advance along line 2 towards Monumental, where they will turn around to return to the starting point.
To ensure safety and avoid crowds in the narrowest sections, participants will start in intervals of 20 seconds. TMB reminds that this is a solidarity race and not a competition, so there will be no prizes at the end.
This initiative is part of a series of activities organized by TMB to commemorate the centenary of the metro, which also include the opening of the ghost stations of GaudĂ and Correus and visits to control centers and workshops.
