Bubble Planet (all month)
The new instagrammable experience in Barcelona has just landed. Bubble Planet creates a world to explore full of bubbles of all sizes, iridescent spheres… A world of fantasy that is installed these months in Espacio Inmersa.

Primavera Sound (as of May 29)
Since the release of the line-up for the 2024 edition of Primavera Sound last year there has been little else to talk about in Barcelona. All of the names that were previewed last November have been going viral, such as Troye Sivan releasing one of the most listened to albums of 2024 or Royel Otis with his viral covers on Tik Tok.
Peggy Gou, Omar Apollo, Deftones, The National, La Zowi, Mitsky, FKA Twigs, Charlie XCX, Lana del Rey, Pulp, Justice… The parade of national and international names does not stop.
The kick-off will be the free concerts on May 29, followed by the festival itself from May 30 to June 2.
Biergarten BCN (until May 5)
German culture deserves its place in Barcelona from time to time. The 13th edition of the San Miguel Biergarten returns this May in its most authentic form to Poble Espanyol: live music, German beer and gastronomy and many activations such as workshops, tastings and contests.
Genesis (all month)
The lights, architecture and sound create the magic of Genesis the new immersive experience in Barcelona. The architecture of the church of the Dominiques (Carrer de Mallorca, 349) merges with the video mapping projections that explain the early days of our world.

Amoeba Parkfest 2024 (May 11)
The North Station Park (Eixample) hosts this May 11 the ninth edition of Ameba Parkfest with free tickets and a program of local artists.
Ameba is an association of electronic music that this May organizes one more year an ephemeral festival in the heart of the city.

The Night of the Museums 2024 (May 18)
La Nit dels Museus returns to Barcelona on May 18 with a wide cultural offer. This year, 90 museums, libraries and unique buildings in Barcelona and its neighboring cities can be visited, offering 16 more facilities than last year.
During this day, the museums will open their doors, allowing visitors to explore both their permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as participate in various evening activities such as guided tours, theatrical performances and workshops for children completely free of charge.

The seaside neighborhood hosts the 12th edition of the Primavera Festivities with activities for all ages and audiences. Art in all its forms invades the streets with dance, theater, poetry, storytelling… more than a hundred activities spread throughout the different facilities in the neighborhood.

An exhibition that describes how the ideal of life in the United States has been reproduced through all imaginable media: cinema, television, advertising and magazines, and that analyzes the most controversial aspects of the urban planning of this system.
Jessica Chou, Gabriele Galimberti or Weronika Gesicka among others present their critical point of view to the famous American lifestyle through their works exhibited at the CCCB until September 8.

Since its premiere last year in Barcelona after its success in Manresa, it returns with its second edition to the city. The festival proposes a tour of more than 20 restaurants offering a tasting menu with wine pairings from the Abadal winery, organizer of the event.

50 Top Pizza, the most important guide of the sector organizes the first edition in Spain of the Pizza Week, where it will present the top 50 Pizzas of Europe on May 13.

Barcelona flashback. A historical synthesis (all month)
Barcelona Flashback is the central point of the network of spaces that make up the MUHBA, located in Casa Padellàs. This exhibition offers a flexible, open and questioning vision of Barcelona’s urban narratives throughout its two-thousand-year trajectory.
It is a synthesis exhibition that presents the history of Barcelona through a questioning historical reading of documents, objects, architectures and landscapes.
In addition, it is an international research project that seeks to establish a minimum of knowledge and urban representation to exercise the right to the city. Based on the MUHBA collections, it serves as a starting point for the 55 rooms distributed in 19 venues throughout Barcelona.

Sorolla. Una nova dimensió (all month)
The most innovative proposal to observe the work of the Valencian artist with another perspective. Sorolla A new dimension came to Barcelona after its success in Valencia, as a tribute to the great artist on his centenary. The exhibition seeks to show Sorolla’s works in a different way and immerse the public in the heart of his art through 360º projections, virtual reality and original works.

Banksy Museum (all month)
130 works by the world’s most renowned urban artists are on display in the Banksy Museum at Trafalgar Space. A space that has established itself as an obligatory stop for visitors and residents of Barcelona that we recommend to include in the to-do list this May.
In addition, every two weeks they organize live art shows in their courtyard, where renowned urban artists perform a live work of art accompanied by music and a pop-up style market with local artists and artisans.

Flowers have invaded the stages of Candlelight. Like a wonderful plague, carnations, sunflowers and tulips take over the seats and stages of the incredible Candlelight locations, as it could not be otherwise this May.

Although with the arrival of Primavera this May we should celebrate the light, the sun and the flowers, Neon Brush invites you to go over to the dark side. Thanks to the glow-in-the-dark neon paint, you will attend a workshop taught by experts in a black-lit, retro-futuristic and fluorescent space.
In addition, the workshop includes unlimited beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). You just have to get creative and come in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
