Before the Michelin Guide, the Repsol Suns, the national guide that tells us which are the restaurants that set the standard of gastronomy. Yesterday was held its 2025 edition, where 90 new Repsol Suns were awarded to restaurants across the country.
As it has been happening, Catalonia continued to demonstrate that it is the restaurant of Spain, being one more year the autonomous community with more Repsol Suns in the country.
Which are the new Repsol Suns in Barcelona?
Catalonia has added this 2025 9 new Soles to its list, leaving 121 awarded restaurants in the community.
In Barcelona there have been two. The first one is Brabo, Sartoria Panatieri’s brasserie, which we already told you about when they opened. The second is Quirat, a recurring restaurant in the awards that recently won its first Michelin star.
And those in the rest of Catalonia?
In addition, there are three other award winners outside Barcelona that have been awarded Sol Repsol for the first time. Lo Paller del Coc (Rialp, Lleida), Er Occitan (Bossòst, Lleida) and Voramar (Portbou, Girona).
Among the new award winners, the restaurant Esperit Roca, the new bet of the Roca brothers in Sant Julià de Ramis, which has achieved a rare milestone: to go directly from not having any Sun to receive 2 Repsol Suns .
On the other hand, three restaurants have made the leap from 1 to 2 Suns, consolidating their prestige within the gastronomic panorama:

- L’Aliança d’Anglès (Anglès, Girona)
- Villa Retiro (Xerta, Tarragona)
However, this year there has not been any restaurant from Catalonia to join the list of the 3 Suns.
