With the rise of remote work, we’ve become more efficient in many ways, but it’s also distanced us from our colleagues. That’s why the concept of “team building” is making a comeback in Barcelona—because what technology separates can be brought back together through outdoor activities, adventures, or perhaps a nice dinner with a show. Here’s how to motivate your team and, above all, have a great time.

A Sensory Challenge at SENSAS Barcelona
SENSAS is a sensory experience (literally) that tests participants’ five senses through workshops and immersive challenges. Located on Entença Street, in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample district, this venue offers a two-hour journey where the senses take center stage, with challenges ranging from identifying scents in the dark to navigating a room filled with lasers.
An original activity to do as a group—and specifically for team building—because it invites you to explore your skills while fostering collaboration among participants.
Additionally, it has a charitable component: each challenge completed results in donations to the local association AURA, which supports people with disabilities.
📍 Location:Carrerd’Entença, 91-93, Ground Floor 2
💸 Tickets: starting at €22. Group tickets here.
A day of “magic” at the Paradox Museum
Paradox Museum offers a really fun experience, especially if you go as a group. Its 70 installations, based on the concept of paradox, defy all logic and are a great way to have a laugh with your coworkers.
The interactive exhibits will bring out your inner child (and there’s nothing like that for relieving stress), and the photos and videos you take are sure to be a hit on the “off-topic” channel of your office chat.
📍 Location:Pl. d’Urquinaona, 3
💸 Tickets: starting at €14. Group tickets here.
Go to a concert with your team
Team-building activities don’t always have to be serious exercises or corporate games: a concert can work just as well (or even better). Listening to live music in the city creates a relaxed atmosphere, breaks down barriers, and allows everyone to show a more authentic side of themselves.
The whole team doesn’t need to know the artist; sometimes, letting yourself be swept up by a colleague’s tastes creates moments of connection that don’t happen in the office. With a bar, great energy, and zero formalities, concerts have become a perfect team-building alternative for strengthening bonds outside the workplace and creating shared memories.
Jungle Tag Obstacle Course

The adrenaline rush we get from achieving goals, winning competitions, or pushing ourselves is the fuel our bodies need every day. Jungle Tag is an obstacle course maze of mats, ropes, and tubes that you’ll have to navigate. Each player receives an electronic wristband that tracks points and times for every obstacle they overcome.
📍 Location: SapakaraFun Parcs. Carrer del Silici, 9. (Cornellà de Llobregat)
💸 Tickets: starting at €13.50
Sports with a Tech Twist at Alfa5
Sports are usually a hit at team-building events, though not everyone is physically fit enough to enjoy them to the fullest. That’s why a program like Alfa5 is perfect: with its blend of sports and technology, the 9 XR Sports activities offered by the center can be tailored to your desired level of intensity.
A twist on soccer, an addictive virtual reality laser tag, a Mission: Impossible-style challenge… Alfa5 offers both group and solo activities, so everyone can enjoy themselves however they like (though we admit that competing against each other is always more fun).
📍 Location: Carrer dels Almogàvers, 169
💸 Tickets: starting at €15
Jurors for a Day at The Jury Experience
There are theater shows, and then there’s The Jury Experience. This experience combines a theatrical reenactment of a trial with audience interaction. Because we—and only we— will decide the defendant’s fate after carefully listening to the prosecution and the witnesses. A perfect activity to discuss afterward: did you vote guilty or not guilty?
📍 Location: Auditori l’Illa. Avinguda Diagonal, 547
💸 Tickets: starting at €25
A private Candlelight concert
Candlelight’s candlelit concerts have become a Barcelona institution; everyone loves their tributes to great pop, rock, and classical artists, but did you know you can organize a private event just for your team?
Candlelight lets you book their bands to liven up corporate events and all kinds of professional gatherings. It’s definitely a great alternative to the typical DJ. Here you’ll find all the details to request more information and make a reservation.
A comedy show
Comedy Gold Show is a stand-up comedy show that features performances by today’s top comedians every week, with up to three different acts per session (over 100 comedians from across the country have graced its stage). It follows the American stand-up comedy model, offering plenty of laughs—perfect for breaking the ice with your coworkers.
📍Location: El Medi. Carrer de Balmes, 129
💸 Tickets: pack of 4 tickets for €32.99
Fantasy Cocktail Masterclass
Making cocktails is a perfect activity for groups and a bit more laid-back than a cooking workshop, since following an expert’s instructions makes it much less likely to go wrong than when you’re in the kitchen. The best part of this plan is that it serves as both team building and an after-work event, since we’ll obviously enjoy the delicious cocktails we’ve prepared afterward.
📍Location: Jardinets de Gràcia. Carrer de Mozart, 4
💸 Tickets: €25 per person
The “dinner of the senses,” with shows included
If you want to put a new spin on the typical company dinner, you can opt for a “dinner of the senses.” During this event, you’ll enjoy a menu that’s a gastronomic sensory experience, where every dish is a surprise. Additionally, the event is complemented by magic and mentalism shows and a guided tour of the beautiful building of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia.
📍Location: Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia. Carrer del Carme, 47
💸 Tickets: €77.42 per person
Team building to the rhythm of jazz
A lively option for a unique team-building experience is The Jazz Room, an event inspired by New Orleans clubs where jazz, blues, and soul set the mood. The format works very well for teams: shared tables, concerts lasting about 60 minutes, and a relaxed atmosphere that invites conversation, toasting, and enjoying the music together. For large groups (30+ people), there is the option to book a private performance or purchase tickets in bulk.
📍 Location: Jamboree. Plaça Reial, 17
💸 Tickets: starting at €19
Kayak tour with your friends
Connecting with nature and getting your blood pumping is another of the most popular activities chosen by team-building organizers. But perhaps a kayaking tour through the coves of Girona or the Ebro Delta isn’t quite as common.
Here are the best places to go kayaking and the companies that rent out the necessary equipment for the excursion.
A tour of Montjuïc
The Montjuïc 360º is the first hiking route entirely within Barcelona that will make you and your coworkers put the Wikihoc hiking app on the back burner. The Montjuïc 360 is a route designed and endorsed by Foment Excursionista de Barcelona and the Federació d’Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya (FEEC).
The route, registered under code PR-C229, is an easy circular trail covering 11 km, taking 3 hours to complete, with a total elevation gain of 400 meters, circling Montjuïc Mountain. PR trails are short-distance routes (between 10 and 15 km) and are marked with white and yellow colors. The PR-C229 begins at Tres Xemeneies, in Poble Sec, and immediately begins to climb the mountain toward the Miramar viewpoint.
A dazzling dance spectacle with Ballet of Lights
“Do you remember when we went to Ballet of Lights?”: a perfect future reference for discussing teamwork months later. This dance show combines the traditional elements of this dance form with a modern staging: costumes covered in lights that illuminate every step. Professional dancers bring to life the stories that (probably) every department in the office knows by heart, from Sleeping Beauty to Cinderella.
Team lunch
Look, you don’t have to go doing somersaults to build a team. Sometimes, what brings a team together best is a good meal. And in Barcelona, there are options for every taste: beautiful restaurants that look like they’re straight out of a postcard, cocktail spots to break the ice, or—who would’ve thought— brunch with your boss. Relaxed, mimosas in hand, and a perfect omelet. Because yes, even brilliant ideas need a good dish to go with them.
Bonus track: Give the gift of experiences
What if, instead of organizing a team-building event, you encourage your team to go on a leisure, cultural, or culinary experience whenever they feel like it? In this case, the easiest option is to purchase gift cards with Fever plans, which offer a wide variety of options.
