When will the Christmas lights be switched on in Barcelona: this is how the lights will be switched on in Passeig de Gràcia.
Barcelona will turn on the Christmas lights on November 28 at 18:00 hours from the stage of Paseo de Gracia with Casp street.
Simultaneously, as last year, the Christmas lights will be switched on in all the streets and squares of the city.

This year the Christmas lights in Barcelona have presented several new features that seek to turn the city into a true benchmark of Christmas lights in Barcelona.

Barcelona Christmas Tour, the tourist bus of Christmas lights.
It debuted in 2019 and has been a hit ever since. The Barcelona Night Tour Christmas Lights, the tourist bus that takes us on a tour of Barcelona’ s Christmas lights, is back this holiday season for a pretty spectacular tour.
The bus, an adapted Bus Turístic, travels through the main streets and avenues of the city, as well as the most emblematic buildings of the city decorated especially for the holidays, such as Passeig de Gràcia, Sagrada Família, Arc de Triomf or Passeig Sant Joan, illuminated for the first time this year with lights with manga motifs.

A giant luminous star: the new nativity scene in Plaça Sant Jaume
Barcelona is saying goodbye to the traditional nativity scene in Plaça Sant Jaume this year, and in its place will be installed an impressive giant luminous star. This new installation, which will occupy the space of the old nativity scene, will be designed to illuminate the square and attract everyone’s attention during the festivities.
The star, called “Origen”, will have a diameter of 9 meters, weigh 2.5 tons and will have 20 points that will project light onto the façades of the City Hall and the Generalitat. The installation not only promises to be a visual spectacle, but also aims to become the new Christmas symbol of Barcelona, creating a magical and festive atmosphere in the heart of the city.
