Barcelona is full of corners where it is easy to find inspiration. For its architecture, the good taste of its design, the warmth of its atmosphere, the good product… Here is a selection of some of the cafes that we have considered the best to study or work, because they are quiet and beautiful places, with wifi, offer and quality service.
Norai, the cafeteria housed in a medieval dockyard
Barcelona’s Drassanes are a treasure incomprehensibly little present in the usual map of Barcelona leisure. Perhaps because of its location, at the end of a Rambla “desbarcelonesa”, but the truth is that its Maritime Museum has exhibitions much sexier than its name and that deserve a getaway at the end of the city.
But the other reason to do so is Norai, the cafeteria-restaurant installed, literally, in the giant medieval ships that once functioned as a shipbuilding space. A restaurant that is a project of social integration, a product of the sea of Barcelona and an unbeatable lunch menu at 13.50 on weekdays and 17 € on holidays, made of good food, are the excuses that were missing.
📍Av. de les Drassanes, 1, Ciutat Vella, 08001 Barcelona
Little Fern
In the Poblenou neighborhood there are many places where you can find specialty coffee in a design and more than pleasant space. Little Fern is one of them. It inspires and invites you to spend the day within its walls. It has plenty of natural light, so if for you it is also an indispensable factor this place is ideal.
To feed your ideas you have to feed your stomach first, and at Little Fern you have it easy: they offer dishes like kimchi pancakes, granola bowl, avocado toast, natural juices and good coffee.

Funky Bakers
They have several locations, but Funky Bakers Eatery is the ideal place to grab your computer and get to work. If you go as a duo, they have a breakfast pack that includes a complete tray with cheeses, hazelnut butter, jam and a selection of breads and croissants. Otherwise, you can choose from their generous menu: eggs of various types, smørrebrød with avocado or spicy tuna, fresh fruit wedges, cakes and sweets….
Nor can we stop talking about the place: spacious, bright, located in the Eixample Dreta.

Skye Coffee – Space 88
We continue in the Poblenou neighborhood to talk about this large open-plan place. Inside there is a small food truck with good coffee, managed by Skye Coffee. It is true that having large tables and benches is not the ideal option for those who need to be in complete silence or solitude. Even so, if you are only going to go for a few hours, it is a nice place where you can connect with your obligations.
📍 C/ Pamplona, 88
Coco Coffice Barcelona
As its name suggests, Coco Coffice is a space where you pay by the hour, day or month to use the work area. For example, an hour costs 3.5€, which depending on how you look at it is the price of a matcha latte in a specialty place. It is important to note that they have meeting spaces, which makes it very easy to sit and talk quietly. All this, in the emblematic neighborhood of Sant Antoni.
📍 C/ Manso, 17
Federal Cafè Gòtic
As with Nomad, Federal is one of those places that, no matter how many years go by, still seems to be an ideal place to work. It is very spacious, and its large central table, always full of magazines (and flowers), inspires anyone who goes there with the purpose of working.
In addition, at Federal you will be able to feed your stomach. You will find an offer of croissants with fresh tomato, provolone and arugula, with Serrano ham, comté cheese and basil…, bikinis, brioches, eggs of all kinds… And several natural juices and coffees.
📍 Passatge de la Pau, 11
Frizzant
In this space you can take a yoga class first thing in the morning and then get to work full of energy, or the other way around if you prefer. At Frizzant you will find a calm atmosphere, perfect for all those who need silence to disconnect. It has a cafeteria space with comfortable tables but also rooms and a terrace for yoga and events that will enhance your creativity, such as embroidery and ceramics classes.
If you are looking for a relaxed place, but at the same time where you can network and meet people, this is the ideal place.
📍 Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 692
Cafeteria of Laie bookstore
The Laie bookstore in Pau Claris has a cafeteria where you can study surrounded by books. It is an ideal place to write, read or work thanks to its quiet, relaxed and inspiring atmosphere.
In addition, it also has a terrace where you will find an oasis of tranquility in the middle of the Eixample and where you can have a refreshing drink now that the heat is coming. It is ideal if you are looking to let yourself be carried away by your dreams.

Café Palau
Working in one of the most beautiful modernist buildings in the world? We say yes. The Palau de la Música hides in its foyer the Café Palau, a beautiful, pleasant and bright cafeteria with a large terrace to settle down to work with a coffee, good quality pastries and even a lunch menu of 16 euros very solvent if you get hungry at noon. An authentic luxury of place.
📍 C/ Palau de la Música, 4-6

Sandiwchez
This chain , the great symbol of teleworking in Barcelona’s cafeterias, should not appear for less fancy. Many exams, papers and meetings have been held at the tables of these cafeterias which, although they have now limited wifi to one and a half hour consumption, are still the perfect places to work: large tables, quiet but human atmosphere, plugs and no reproachful look from the staff for spending a whole day at the computer.
