This year, the Festes Majors de Sants 2025 will begin on Saturday 23 August with a parade at 6:30 pm, which will run through the streets of the neighborhood from Carrer de Sants, in front of the Centre Cívic Cotxeres de Sants.
The festivities will continue until Sunday, August 31, when they will culminate with the expected Piromusical show in the Parc de l’Espanya Industrial.
The proclamation, in charge of the theater company La Calórica
This year, the proclamation of the Festival of Sants will be delivered by actresses Esther López Martín and Júlia Truyol Caimari, members of the theater company La Calòrica. Both have spent more than 15 years creating committed theater that addresses social issues with intelligent humor.
The proclamation will be held on Saturday August 23 at 8:00 pm from the balcony of the Casa del Mig, in the Parc de l’Espanya Industrial. For those who can not attend in person, the event can be followed live through a link provided by the City Council. In addition, there will be sign language interpretation on one of the balconies of the Town Hall to facilitate access to people with hearing disabilities.
Before the proclamation
Before the proclamation, the show Expressions del món, by the Taula Intercultural del Secretariat d’Entitats de Sants, Hostafrancs i la Bordeta, will be performed at Parc de l’Espanya Industrial.
In the morning, everyone will be able to participate in a cercavila from Avinguda de Josep Tarradellas, where the choreographies of the Chinese dragon, which according to tradition brings good luck for the whole year and also participates in the unitary cercavila in the afternoon, will be taught.
What does the poster of the Festa Major de Sants 2025 mean?
The winner of the 29th Festa Major de Sants poster contest is Laia Capellades Olivella, a resident of Sants, an architect by profession and passionate about drawing. For the past year she has been studying illustration at the Escola de la Dona, with the aim of telling stories through her drawings, focusing on characters and people’s daily lives rather than on straight lines or traditional perspectives.
In her poster for the Festa Major de Sants 2025, Laia has wanted to reflect the collective work of preparation of the festival by the neighbors, as well as the brotherhood lunches, the celebration and the joy of those days. There is no lack of music, dance and traditional events, such as the castellers and the diables, capturing the community and festive spirit of the neighborhood.

Eating in Sants: gastronomic festivities

Eating out in Sants is a party in itself. The neighborhood, big as it is, is one of the great gastronomic reserves of the city, with great options of food of all kinds, but with a lot of eye to the traditional Catalan cuisine.
For this reason, we leave you our guide to the best restaurants in Sants. Or, at least, our favorites. By the way, we leave you some more here, so you don’t miss anything.
- Buenavista. The best Russian salad in the neighborhood.
- Tramendu. Renewed Catalan cuisine with all the letters. The restaurant we would want in any neighborhood, with well-prepared local cuisine and a format that goes from breakfast time to a dinner that goes on and on.
- Bodega Bartolí. Classic vermouth and gilda cellar, a must.
- Bodega Montferry. The Montferry sandwiches, nothing more needs to be said.
- Kobuta Ramen. Ramen hidden in Sants that has made a name for itself.
- Forno Bomba. Italian oven withsourdough breads, sliced pizza, focaccia and ‘cinnamon buns’, nothing else. Nothing else. What else?
- La Mundana. One of the historical gastrotabernas of Barcelona, years already offering contemporary and creative cuisine at reasonable prices. Their bravas are already mythical in the city.
- Gurí. New opening with a cuisine in line with La Mundana, but with Uruguayan influences of its chef. Great ideas in this kitchen and good vegetable dishes.
- Steel. The hambuguesas and bravas that have won a thousand awards. A sure bet for a party, obviously.
- Bar Tremendo. One of our favorite tortillas in town.
- Las tres mentiras: A top Mexican restaurant that transports you to the American country and has become a little secret among taco lovers. A must try to find authentic Mexican food.
- La Bricciola: The pizzeria of the most famous pizza maker of Tik Tok, Pino Prestanizzi, makes really delicious pizzas, beyond online fashions, so try them and say Un tre!
