From August 13, the Collserola Tower will activate a new proposal to enjoy the Barcelona skyline: the Sunset Experience. The initiative will allow free access to the viewpoint of the tower during sunset, provided that a ticket is purchased for the Cuca de Llum, the funicular that connects with the Tibidabo Park.
The experience can be enjoyed until August 31, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and tickets will be available exclusively through the website and, in addition to access to the viewpoint, will include a 15% discount at the restaurants in the Tibidabo panoramic area.
Tickets for the Cuca de Llum cost €13.5, and allow you to ride this award-winning funicular railway, which is already an experience in itself, up to the amusement park.
What to see from the Torre de Collserola viewpoint
The proposal is an unprecedented image of Barcelona. The viewpoint of the Collserola Tower is on the tenth floor of the building, 115 meters above its location, the Turó de Vilana. But considering that the Turó is 445 meters above sea level, this viewpoint is 560 meters, more than half a kilometer, above the water, and is by far the highest point in the city.
It offers breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views that, in favorable weather conditions, reach up to 70 km in distance, encompassing Collserola, Montserrat and the Cadí-Moixeró mountain range.
After being closed for four years, the viewpoint reopened last year, although only from Wednesday to Sunday, between 12 and 3 pm. The Sunset Experience extends these hours and tests the attraction potential of the tallest building in the city and in Catalonia, with its 288 meters high.
Last year, between July and September, the observation deck received 3,468 visitors. This year, in July alone and without the new experience, 1,500 visits have already been recorded. In 2023, only 101 people visited that month.
Built for the 1992 Olympic Games, the Collserola Tower remains an icon of the city, visible from almost anywhere in Barcelona. Now, moreover, it becomes a new privileged window to watch the sun set over the city.
