Almost 300 meters high, thirty years of history and the doors closed… until today. The Collserola Tower viewpoint, the highest in Barcelona, has reopened its doors after being closed since the pandemic.
The viewpoint of the telecommunications tower built by architect Norman Foster, located next to the Tibidabo Park, is a space unknown to many . It is on the tenth floor of the structure, rises to 288 meters high and is 445 meters above sea level.
The space had been closed during the pandemic and had not been able to reopen until now because of work to refurbish the panoramic glass elevators. As you can imagine, the views from there over Barcelona, the sea and its surroundings are spectacular.
From now on, it will be open on specific dates and times: from July 3 to September 8, only from Wednesday to Sunday and from 12 pm to 3 pm. In September, on 11, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29, the Tower will also open at the same times.
General admission tickets will cost 5.60 euros and can be purchased on site, although they will soon also be available through the Tibidabo website.
The Communications Tower is one of the most iconic buildings of the 1992 Olympic Games. It was built in record time (23 months) for the event and since then, most of the audiovisual links of the metropolitan area and the province have been made there, and it is currently where all television and radio signals reaching Barcelona are broadcast from.
