We’ll go out on a limb and say this: making a bad cheesecake is harder than making an acceptable cheesecake. So much so that half-baked cheesecakes are sold in supermarkets in the pastry section or even ready-made cheesecakes in the refrigerated dairy section.
But making a really good cheesecake requires a little more skill, a little more technique. And if you have the cooking spirit on vacation, here we bring you some of the best cheesecakes in Barcelona so you only have to sit at the table.
Lust
Lust’s cheesecake has passed the game: a cheesecake made with tortilla de patata. Since their main dish is omelettes on hamburger bread, they recently decided to team up with Jon Cake (further down this list) to make the first omelette cheesecake. Spectacular.

Cheesecake BCN

An Instagram account has recently caught our attention. And is that it has become one of the cheesecake of the moment in Barcelona with an unconventional format:homemade recipes that are only served at home or directly to restaurants. We’re talking about @Cheesecake.bcn, an account that serves hazelnut cheesecakes, nutella, Lotus cookies and all the sweet fantasies you can imagine.

Sugar Pastry

Cakes, cookies, brownies and a lot of variety. But as far as we are concerned here, cheesecakes, we can say that Sugar Pastry always has between two and three cheesecakes where cheese is the protagonist, such as their goat cheese, camembert or truffled brie cheesecake.
But you can also try some other new inventions like their salted caramel cheesecake or the brownie cheesecake. And if you like yankee style cookies you will be amazed.

Fismuler
Fismuler’ s is undoubtedly one of the most impressive we have tasted. It is made by mixing three different cheeses: Smoked Idiazábal, Gorgonzola and cream cheese. A spectacle. The portion costs 7 euros on the menu, although it is also included in some of their menus, like this one.

Jon Cake
Jon Cake ‘s cakes have already surpassed the limits of the imaginable. Jon, an aeronautical engineer, passed through the kitchens of Michelin stars such as El Celler de Can Roca or La Tasqueria. Now he makes these incredible cakes in three different sizes and different flavors.
Jon tells us that they have already used 120 different cheeses to prepare his tarts. He always has five fixed tarts available (the classic is the best seller), one changes every two weeks and two others change daily. It’s impossible to get bored, so long live Jon Cake! Now, by the way, Jon Cake & Wines has also opened, a place where you can pair his mythical cakes with top wines.

Silan
This incredible Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant called Silan is one of the great discoveries of the past 2020. Everything is delicious and their dessert was not going to be less. This cheesecake, with a touch of yogurt, honey, nuts, cookie and fruits is round (even if only figuratively). But take advantage of the trip and order anything else from their menu, like this disassembled kebab.

La Güerita Mexicana
The cake at this Mexican restaurant in Sant Antoni deserves a place on this list for its innovation. They prepare it by adding sweet corn to the mixture and accompany it with a tamarind jam on the plate. The result is a curious flavor that you would not expect to find in a dessert with this name, and a round creaminess paired with the acidity of the tamarind.

La Fundente
La Fundente is another cake house that we are glad to have in the city. The creaminess of its cheesecakes, equally mellow in the center as inside, make it one of the houses that must be visited on the route for the best cheesecakes in the city.

Funky Bakers
In the Borne, where it seems that all the sweets of the city are concentrated, there is also Funky Bakers, a corner in the Passeig del Borne, very close to Santa Maria del Mar, where you can try an artisan cheesecake.
Served in an individual (but generous) wooden mold as if it came straight from the dairy, the cheesecake is in the style of La Viña, one of the great pintxo bars of San Sebastian, one of the motherlands of cheesecake.

99cheesecake
A slice of cheesecake at 99 cents – what more do you want? That’s the idea of 99cheesecake, a proposal that in less than a year has already opened two locations in Barcelona thanks to this simple claim, a top strategy in networks and cakes that, for their price, are not bad at all.
