After a few quiet beers in Plaça del Sol and a slice of pizza to go always comes an indecent proposal: “It’s 22:30, shall we buy some drinks?” If you say yes, there is no turning back.
Barcelona’s nightlife offers endless possibilities, from nightclubs with a strict dresscode to dive bars where you end up without knowing how or why. They say that you don’t know a city well if you don’t know what it’s like at night.
So it doesn’t matter if you’re more into techno, bachata or commercial music, because after an exhaustive research, a few drinks and some sleepless nights, we have determined which are the best clubs in Barcelona, regardless of their style, so you can dance until dawn.
Here we present the must for every Barcelona partygoer.
Jamboree, the temple of urban music.
Although it is more famous as a jazz concert hall and derivatives, once midnight has passed, this historic venue in Plaça Reial becomes a temple of tribute to hip-hop and urban roots music in what they call their disco nights. Its two large rooms become two environments in which to enjoy the best rap or dance hall or great classics of funk. Of course, here it is not enough to be all the time glued to the bar with a drink in hand, here you come to give it all on the dance floor!
📍 Plaça Reial, 17.

Razzmatazz, get lost in the crowd
One of the two great classics of the Barcelona party. This nightclub offers, thanks to its countless rooms, several parties in a single night. What do you want commercial? Well, you have commercial. What do you prefer techno? Then techno. The only problem is that it is very labyrinthine, but if you go up two floors, turn right and cross to the other dimension you will surely find the room you are looking for. It’s perfect to go with a group of friends with whom you don’t share musical tastes, as you’ll find something for everyone .
📍 C/ dels Almogàvers, 122.
Opium
Elected in 2023 as one of the 10 best nightclubs in the world, Opium is a guaranteed success if you are looking for a good party. With an international audience and a more commercial approach, it is one of the most visited clubs in Barcelona during the summer. And it is just a few meters from the Barceloneta.
📍 Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta, 34.
Latin Palace Barcelona, dance bachata until dawn.
This is the best Latin nightclub in Barcelona. If you go, you will have to watch out with the dresscode, as you should be elegant and avoid shorts in summer. They offer, from Monday to Sunday, a varied number of styles. It has two rooms, the main one, where urban genres such as reggaeton, afrobeat and R&B are played, and the Sky Room, where you can dance to the rhythm of bachata, merengue, salsa or vallenato.
📍 Ramon Trias Fargas St., 2-4
Apolo, a classic of Barcelona’s nightlife.
The classic of classics. Anyone who considers himself a Barcelonian must have ended up sometime, without knowing very well why, in Apolo on a weekday. Its music is varied and depending on the day of the week you can find from techno to 80s music.
About Apolo there is much, and little, to say at the same time. It exudes the essence of Barcelona to perfection: all styles and profiles fit, the same day you will find hippie people and super arranged people, even, with a little luck, Rosalia and Rauw Alejandro.
📍 C/ Nou de la Rambla, 113
Moog, the most Berlin Barcelona
The Moog is the darkness of the night, the most Berlin of Barcelona’s clubs. Hidden in a dark alley the discotheque keeps behind its doors a multiverse of heavy electronic music, in a small room where some of the greatest DJs in the world have played. Newcomers to the night should abstain.
📍 C/ de l’Arc del Teatre, 3
Input, feel the electronic music
More electronica for your body. Here there are no distinctions, the competition of the younger Moog also concentrates people with only one interest: electronic music. Slightly larger than the Moog, but not that much, so hurry, because it is not uncommon that the room will soon hang the sold-out sign.
📍 Av. de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, 13
Bling Bling, a little bit of fun at upper diagonal
This nightclub is located in the upper area of Barcelona and is the trendy club among the most affluent of the city. If you want to blend in among them you should take care of your aesthetics and, if possible, wear a shirt, pink or blue, and nautical shoes or loafers. Besides, we all know that the Cayetans are experts in the art of going out, so if you go, a night out is guaranteed.
📍 C/ Tuset, 8-10
Sutton, for the most exclusive
Sutton is a little bit like Bling Bling, but with more showmanship. Celebrities, politicians and footballers rub shoulders there, the crème de la crème of Barcelona. It is considered one of the most select and exclusive nightclubs in Barcelona, as evidenced by its luxurious decor and the outfits of the attendees. A high society party in every sense of the word.
📍C/ Tuset, 13
Marula, good vibes and an alternative touch
Marula’s nights are full of funk and disco, with tropical nuances and danceable psychedelia. Many times they play the vinyls live and organize jams, meetings in which to improvise musically . Its atmosphere is quite alternative and gives off good vibes. You’ll find young people, locals and tourists, but not the guiri profile of Passeig del Born, but one a little more select, who does not come just for the party, but for the music.
📍C/ dels Escudellers, 49
Shoko, sunrise in Barceloneta
This nightclub is a little more guiri and it’s hard to find locals. It is ideal to take your friend who has come to visit you from abroad or to go out on a silly Tuesday, because there is a party day in and day out. We recommend you to start the night having dinner in their restaurant overlooking the sea, have a few drinks and finish by closing the disco and watching the sun rise over La Barceloneta.
