Barcelona is a city that never sleeps, or at least that’s how a good part of its inhabitants are. Beyond the nightclubs or night bars, the city also offers a good list of 24 hour restaurants or night bars that liven up the night life, allowing us to have a good bite at any time.
So, because we know you’ve ever asked google “where to eat in Barcelona at night”, we bring you a list of the best bars and restaurants open all night (or part of it) so that, whatever happens, you always have a place to go.
Bar Litoral
Tucked away in the historic neighborhood of Can Tunis, Bar Restaurante Litoral is an establishment that is a journey to another time. Once in the middle of the impoverished Can Tunis neighborhood, today it is almost the only thing that remains of the neighborhood, and a night shelter for port workers. With sandwiches and lunch menus at affordable prices, the Litoral has maintained its essence and continues to be a meeting point for workers and neighbors in the area.
Going for breakfast in the early hours of the morning or to have the last drink under the round and with views of Montjuïc is to travel to a Barcelona that no longer exists. By the way, the bar has been the setting for “El cuerpo en llamas”, the Netflix series about the crime of the Guardia Urbana, so you already have where to go to do movie fetishism.
📍 Mare de Déu de Port, 14, 08038 Barcelona.
⏰ Monday to Sunday: 06:00 – 02:30
🍽 Paella
Torpedo
Opened in 2019 by Rafa Peña and Biel Gavaldà, owners of Gresca, Bar Torpedo has that thing that great bars have: it is one of the favorite places for chefs when they fold from their kitchens at night. That says it all. This snack bar with disco hours is known for its gourmet sandwiches, such as the pastrami tongue biquini and the Patty Melt burger.
Plus, tremendous sides like the Kentucky fried quail or the shrimp croquettes. And that, it closes at 3 o’clock, so if you finish your party early, you know where to get drunk.
📍 Carrer d’Aribau, 143, 08036 Barcelona
⏰ Sunday to Wednesday: 13:30 – 01:30, Thursday to Saturday: 13:30 – 03:00

Simultaneous
Simultaneo is actually the only restaurant truly open 24 hours in a Barcelona where restrictions complicate this exercise. Here they achieve it because they are inside the Catalonia hotel in Plaza Espanya. From there their kitchen, open 24 hours a day, bills international cuisine, sandwiches and a red tuna tartar that has become quite popular. So you know, if you arrive cooked in the area, whatever time it is, go to the bar and order without hesitation.
📍 Plaza España, 6-8, 08014 Barcelona
⏰ 24 hours, non-stop cooking.

Bars of El Reloj Group
We love the El Reloj group because they have franchised something as improbable as the bar of a lifetime. From their parent company, El Reloj, in Via Laietana, they have all inherited a blue neon signage that makes them recognizable, but different enough not to relate them to each other. You probably don’t know it, but you have been more than once sitting in one of these bars.
As a good neighborhood bar, they have late hours, an acceptable tapas menu and reasonable prices. So, when you don’t know where to go, look for the one near you, which will be the closest thing to a 24-hour restaurant you’ll find in the city.
📍 Via Laietana, 40, Ciutat Vella (Bar El Reloj). Also, several locations.
⏰06:00 – 03:00
El Rincón del Artista
Iconic joint, a reference of nightlife in Barcelona and, therefore, located in the Raval neighborhood or, more specifically, in front of the Apolo, El Rincón del Artista is a bar-restaurant that stands out for its bohemian atmosphere and its walls full of photos of the artists who have passed through this establishment. A nocturnal jewel in Ciutat Vella that closes at 3 o’clock and opens at 7 o’clock, but where more than one has ended up also in the closed hours coming to nibble discreetly on the shutter…
📍 C/ Nou de la Rambla, 105, Ciutat Vella, 08001 Barcelona
⏰07:00 – 03:00
Bar Velódromo
Since its reopening in 2009, Bar Velódromo has become a reference bar in the Eixample. Located in a restored Art Deco building, this bar offers an elegant atmosphere with carved wood details and a two-level space, with a menu supervised by renowned chef Carles Abellán.
As a good old-fashioned bar, the kitchen is open around the clock, so you can start at 7 a.m. with a breakfast of special sandwiches or eggs on a plate, continue with classic macarons and finish the night with a few beers and tapas until 2 a.m.
📍 Carrer de Muntaner, 213, 08036 Barcelona
⏰07:30 – 02:00
Els Tres Tombs
Another Raval nighttime classic. This great corner local is no longer a bar that opens all night, and now closes at 12:30 am, but at 6 am is open, ready to give you that coffee and sandwich you need after a night of dancing at Apolo. Tapas, sandwiches, traditional dishes and, above all, a terrace in front of the Mercat de Sant Antoni to watch the sunrise and think about how much fun your night out has been.
Here you can mainly eat tapas, such as starred eggs or Russian salad, but they also serve a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches, mixed dishes and hamburgers.
📍 Ronda de Sant Antoni, 2, 08001 Barcelona
⏰06:00 – 01:30
McAuto Barcelona
THE choice . You have to do it at least once in your life to feel like in the movies. Fast food at any time of the day or night and direct exit to the sea to eat your burger looking at the Mediterranean as a kinky eighties movie. Few restaurants are as nocturnal as this one. If you’re going late (and you haven’t been drinking), take the car and fly to get your burgers, nuggets, fries and soft drinks.
📍 Parc de Mar, C/ de Jaume Vicens i Vives, 2, Sant Martí, 08005 Barcelona.

There are a thousand in Barcelona, and everyone has their favorite, from the most famous in the Raval to the neighborhood durum that never fails you. Always long hours and ultra-caloric food to save you or prepare you for any excess. Blessed kebab you are in heaven, hallowed be your name.
