At any time of the year, but now that the good weather is back, even more so. The level of ice cream has grown exponentially in Barcelona, and now, fortunately, the offer is wide, quality and, of course, delicious.
They say that a quality artisan ice cream is one that does not make you thirsty after eating it. See for yourself, take note and go try the best ice cream in town.

Anita Gelato, ice cream walk through Gràcia
Newly arrived in the city and located in the heart of the Gràcia this ice cream shop is one of the best ways to give your body the treat it deserves. Any of their ice creams are a pleasure, but if we had to take just one to a desert island, maybe it would be the wafer cookie. Or maybe the pistachio one. Or the salted pretzel.

DelaCrem, the ice cream of long lines
We would not dare to say that it is the best ice cream parlor in Barcelona because there is a lot of level, but what is certain is that we have never seen anything like it in terms of queue. Going to Delacrem in the summer means waiting in line. The wait is usually not very long and is obviously worth it. A quality test: if the pistachio ice cream is not radioactive Verde, then it is good.

Oggi, the Italian tradition
The acronym Oggi stands for Officina Gelato Gusto Italiano and does not fail to reflect the Mediterráneo’s passion for this product. And of course, the flavors are in the classic Italian gelato tradition: nocciola, gianduia, mascarpone cream, tiramisu, Bronte pistachio or ricotta with chocolate and orange.

Gelaaati di Marco, the sweet oasis in the Gothic Quarter
In the Gothic Quarter it is easy to find rivers of people circulating through its streets, but less common to find queues that collapse them. At the surroundings of Sant Jaume square an ice cream parlor breaks the norm, offering a quality product in an area where it is scarce, and accumulates people at its doors. Marco has been making delicious ice creams for years, with a predominance of intense sweetness and surprising combinations. In other words, a sweet and quality oasis in the heart of the Gothic Quarter.

Paral-lelo, seasonal ice cream
Paral-lelo’s ice creams are artisan, seasonal and zero kilometer. This means you won’t be able to have strawberry ice cream in winter, but you won’t be short of alternatives. Their menu varies but we’ve seen things like their smoked cheddar ice cream with crispy bacon, Parmesan with Modena vinegar, French Roquefort or avocado and tomato with basil.

Rocambolesc, desserts from the best pastry chef in the world
Rocambolesc, which we have already mentioned in this article is the work of Jordi Roca, the youngest of the brothers, who tried to recover the dessert trolley of El Celler de Can Roca. Jordi would have liked to take his cart out on the street to sell his prestigious ice cream, but municipal regulations did not allow it, so he set up a business next to the Liceu in Barcelona that, with a bar that opens onto the Rambla, is the closest thing to an ice cream food truck that we can find in the city.

Kurimu
This ice cream parlor is owned by the owners of the legendary Japanese pastry shop Takashi Ochiai, a temple of sweets located in the Eixample neighborhood. Its ice cream proposal is unique because it combines Japanese tradition with Italian gelateria. A delicatessen where you can taste proposals such as black sesame, yogurt with wasabi or the classic matcha tea.

Natas, ice cream among books
At in the heart of the Raval and practically inside La Central bookstore, Natas offers an experience, as well as delicious ice cream. And the aesthetics of its premises, in pastel tones, invites us to do only one thing: to relax while we lick our ice cream over and over again. They offer atypical flavors such as orange blossom, almond or orange.
📍 Carrer Elisabets, 6
Gocce di Latte, in search of the most daring taste
Through artisanal processes, this temple of ice cream offers authentic wonders such as turmeric, tangerine and rosemary, or cardamom and dates. A proposal for the most daring, as it goes beyond the most conventional flavors.
📍 Pla de Palau, 4
Bodevici, the organic ice cream
In the heart of the Gràcia district, this ice cream parlor offers artisanal, organic and vegan ice cream. A bet on Km0 ingredients such as strawberries from Maresme, hazelnuts from Reus or milk from Catalan goats.

Lucciano’s, the best Argentinean ice creams
Lucciano’s ice cream parlor recently opened its first store in Barcelona to bring for the first time to the country the best Artisan Ice Cream of Buenos Aires of 2019, and, they say one of the best ice creams of Argentina. The landing has taken place in Rambla Catalunya with Gran Via, there is the Gelatto Station BCN. Each store of the brand has a different and personalized concept, and the one in Barcelona is a space station that has arrived in the city to bring extraterrestrial ice cream.
After opening 59 stores in Argentina, Lucciano’s has started an expansion in Europe with its first opening in Rome, a month ago, and now this one, in Barcelona. The brand’s next steps will take the ice cream to Malaga and Madrid. Throughout the Old Continent Argentine flavors such as dulce de leche (of which they have two varieties) and iconic flavors such as Belgian chocolate are beginning to spread, as well as their famous IcePops, with flavors such as cookies and cream or hazelnut and white and dark chocolates.

Baboia, ice cream made in CAT
View this post on Instagram
Baboia is defined as a Catalan specialty ice cream parlor because all its products are native and some of its flavors will be as familiar to you as nun’s pets, ratafia, turrón de Agramunt or the first roscón de reyes ice cream. Also made in Catalonia is the name of the restaurant, Baboia, a tribute to an ancient Catalan game that is now extinct; something like the ancestor of roulette. Stop by their Born location and if you don’t know which flavor to choose, let the baboia choose for you.

Badiani’s, Barcelona flavor ice cream
We already told you about it at the time, when it was released, because it was released in style and with a flavor, that of Barcelona, created especially for the occasion. The so-called “best gelato shop in Florence” has reason to be proud.
Its ice creams are creamy, delicious and made on the spot in the same workshop of the ice cream parlor, and, beyond classic flavors such as vanilla or chocolate, the taste of Barcelona, or other seasonal flavors such as Sant Jordi have placed Badiani’s as one of the references in Barcelona ice creams.
📍C/ del Rosselló, 232
Aurelien, ice creams with flower petals
have you ever tasted a flower-flavored ice cream? The menu of this ice cream parlor in Gràcia has more than 45 flavors, among which are the traditional flavors such as chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, but also more surprising ones such as ice creams made from flowers (saffron, jasmine, lavender or rose) or honey, orange blossom or dates.
The ice cream parlor landed in the Catalan capital in 2022, after 10 years in Granada, at the hands of the Frenchman Aurélien Léon, a physicist by training who has transferred his scientific knowledge to gastronomic innovation, and not only can you eat your ice cream in a cone or in a tub, but if you prefer, it will be served in a hot croissant bun.
📍Plaça del Sol, 9
Gioelia, the paradise of creamy ice creams
Unlike other gelato shops where you can see the mountains of ice cream and choose the flavor depending on the pint of each one, in Gioelia this is not the case, as they keep covered, just as it is done authentically in Italy.
It also has a small terrace on Rambla Catalunya where you can sit and enjoy their creamy ice creams in peace and quiet, enjoying every second.
📍Rambla Catalunya, 94
Cloud gelato, flavors to float in the clouds
At Cloud Gelato they wanted to mix the traditional Italian way of making ice cream with typical flavors from here, such as their Tarta de Santiago ice cream, but also maintaining a more classic essence with flavors such as tiramisu and leche merengada.
In this ice cream shop hidden in a square in Gràcia you will find an infinity of flavors whose textures will make you float in the clouds. The ice creams are prepared every morning with natural ingredients, so we recommend you try some like pistachio or chocolate, as it really seems that you are eating the ingredients directly but colder and creamier.
