Disfrutar has risen to first place in the list of the World’s 50 Bes t, making the Barcelona restaurant the best in the world. With this award, the restaurant wins all the prizes and confirms the Barcelona as one of the world’s gastronomy capitals.
And while we know it’s not for every day, that we wanted to get up close and personal with the best restaurant in the world (after all, it’s only a few subway stops away now) to see how much their menus are worth, what they eat and why their food is so special, and how much it costs to get a table at the restaurant.
how much does it cost to eat a menu at Disfrutar?
Disfrutar is a three-star Michelin restaurant and now, for a year, the best restaurant in the world according to The World’s 50 Best, so we imagine that eating in their dining room is not for every day, nor for all budgets.
The restaurant offers two tasting menu options, a wine pairing option and a special menu that includes TABLE M#01, LA TAULA “VIVA”, a special table that they have created in the restaurant and of which there is only one unit. The menus are as follows.

The special menu TABLE M#01, THE “LIVE” TAULA
The restaurant’s most exclusive menu is, according to them, “a proposal born from the initiative of interior designer Merche Alcalà and Disfrutar to offer a totally different and innovative experience”.
This menu is served on a “living” table, which changes shape, appearance and colors as the food is served, adapting to the food and becoming part of it, making the experience truly eye-catching.
This table is located in the restaurant’s R&D kitchen, on floor -1 of the restaurant, and can only be used in this space. Eating there costs from 1050€ for a single person, to 390€ per diner if the reservation is for a group of five or six people.
what do you eat at Disfrutar? What are the dishes you can’t miss?
Disfrutar is famous for its avant-garde approach and creative dishes. The three chefs, Oriol Castro, Mateu Casanyas and Eduard Xatruch, are known as the “Chefs of the Year” heirs of El Bulli as they cook a very high level of technical cuisine that transforms the dishes into totally different creations that, nevertheless, manage to recall the flavors they seek to evoke.
In their ten-year career they have left many iconic dishes, but we leave you with a few to get your mouth watering:

- Macaroni carbonara: A dish that looks like pasta but is made with ham broth jelly.

- Chinese bread stuffed with caviar and sour cream: This dish combines the soft texture of Chinese bread with the luxury of caviar and the acidity of sour cream, creating a unique taste experience[2][5].

- Seafood air snack: It uses dehydrated meringue masses to create a light and crunchy texture, complemented by the flavor of the sea crab[3].

- Idiazabal Millefeuille: A dish that plays with the foam of fried dough, resulting in a texture similar to an aniseed pancake, but with a salty taste of Idiazabal cheese[3].

- Octopus with padron bell pepper miso: A dish that combines octopus with a miso made from padron peppers, offering a mix of traditional and modern flavors[4].

- Hake Donostia style: This dish presents hake with a kokotxa texture in four different cuts, accompanied by a traditional garlic flavor and a touch of spirulina[4].
Book at Disfrutar. When is there a free table?
If it was already difficult to book at Disfrutar before the award, since yesterday the reservation center is collapsed and there is literally not a single free table in the whole year.
If you want to get a table you have to be quick, reservations open every day 365 days in advance from the current date, so be on the lookout and book when reservations open for the same day… of the following year.
