The heat arrives and, with it, the desire to go to the beach to relax under the umbrella with a couple of sandwiches.
We know that there are infinite ways to enjoy the beach and one of them is through the practice of nudism. Some say that once you try it, there’s no going back and you’ll never want to wear a bathing suit again.
In addition, with the heat and the xafogor that there is these days in Barcelona, you want more than ever to get into the sea, because who says you have to be on vacation to go to the beach? Sometimes, going after work and take a refreshing dip to escape the heat accumulated throughout the day, can become the best plan of the week .
That’s why we bring you the best nudist beaches near Barcelona so you can escape at any time of this hot season and sunbathe without a swimsuit.
La Mar Bella, in Barcelona

In the heart of the city center we find this nudist beach that, thanks to its privileged location, has many services around it, such as lifeguards, toilets and several beach bars and restaurants.
It is located between the beaches of Bogatell and Nova Mar Bella and is more than 500 meters long, so even if you are in Barcelona, you will have enough space to put your towel comfortably and enjoy a refreshing swim.
La Picòrdia, in Arenys de Mar
Arenys de Mar has three beaches, two of them have a nudist area and one is completely nudist. The latter, La Picòrdia, is just a little removed from the town center, so you can enjoy the tranquility of a less crowded space but at the same time you have a stone’s throw places to eat.
It becomes a perfect choice if you are looking for a place without too many people but without having to go to a hidden cove somewhere on the Costa Brava.
Les Roques, in Calella de Mar
This beach is divided into small coves separated by rocks, hence its name, Les Roques. Its water is characterized by being very crystalline and it is far enough away from the town to be able to breathe some peace.
However, during the weekend it is usually quite crowded, so if you are not much of a crowd, we recommend you to stop by any other day of the week.
Platja de L’Home Mort, in Sitges
Platja de l’Home Mort is a special beach, as since 1930 the LGBTIQ+ community self-proclaimed it as a gay-friendly nudist beach , making it the first of its kind in the world.
It is located about 4km from Sitges and borders the Platja de Roses. In addition, if you get the itch in the middle of the day or feel like having a beer when the sun goes down, Platja de l’Home Mort has a small beach bar with music and snacks.
Platja de San Sebastià, in Barcelona

Barcelona has two nudist beaches. Apart from the Mar Bella there is the stretch of Platja de San Sebastià, which is next to Barceloneta, so it is usually very crowded. It is the ideal option if you want to take a quick swim, although if you want to spend the day there, we recommend arriving early in the morning to lay out your towel.
It is about a kilometer long and, anecdotally, it was the first beach in the city to allow men and women to swim together.
Platja del Coco, in Badalona
The Platja de Coco is not nudist in its entirety, but has a 170-meter corner for this practice.
It is located in the center of Badalona, so it is very easy to reach. Despite its proximity to the city, it is characterized by being very quiet, although on weekends it is best to arrive early to find a good place to put the towel and umbrella.
Aiguadolç, in Vilanova i la Geltrú
A little more than two kilometers from Vilanova i la Geltrú we find this nudist beach. It is a small beach of just 150 meters long and 30 meters wide that is located in a quiet place away from the city.
It is located between the beaches of Sant Gervasi and Santa Llúsia and has showers and lifeguard service .
Platja de Ponent, Premià de Mar

Platja de Ponent is located between Premià and Vilassar de Mar. It is a charming beach, as you can still see lateen sailing boats stranded on the sand.
Although it is located in an urban center, it does not have a promenade, so you can enjoy a certain tranquility and its waters, blue and calm, which are always awarded the blue flag, a seal of quality that is only awarded to beaches that meet environmental criteria dictated by the European Foundation for Environmental Education.
Balmins Beach (Sitges)
Located in Sitges, this is one of the great beaches of the municipality. Somewhat far from the city center, it has gradually been integrated into the urban core, and the truth is that it is currently quite crowded in summer. Even so, this beach is still a great option for naturism in summer, and enjoy the coexistence between families, nudists … no problem. In addition, it has showers and even some massage beds.
L’Illa Roja beach, Begur

Hidden in the Costa Brava, ideal for naturism among rocks. Those who know it, know that the environment of Begur and the Costa Brava is wonderful, and this beach stands out, in particular, for its large red rock that gives it its name. It is a very popular nudist beach among visitors looking for a quiet and beautiful place to enjoy the sea and the sun.
Platja del Torn, L’Hospitalet del’Infant

The beach of El Torn is considered one of the best in Spain, thanks, among others, to the naturist campsite El Templo del Sol, which borders much of the beach, which has contributed significantly to its conservation. The collaboration between the association and the campsite has made it possible to keep this space almost free of clothing, making it an ideal destination for naturist tourism. The beach is accessible for people with functional diversity and has the prestigious blue flag.
La Musclera (Arenys de Mar)
A quiet, wild and unpretentious beach, where nudism is practiced with total naturalness. It is somewhat removed from the town center, but is accessible by train (about 10 minutes walk from Arenys station). Ideal for those looking to disconnect without crowds and take a bath away from the postureo. The atmosphere is usually mixed and relaxed, with space for both towel and walk.
